On Sunday, April 13th, The Women's Community Club of Rolling Hills, in collaboration with the Rolling Hills Community Association, welcomed generations of families—from great-grandparents to great-grandchildren—for a magnificent spring extravaganza featuring delicious food, an exhilarating egg hunt, an exciting 50/50 raffle, and a spellbinding magic performance by entertainer, Christopher T Magician. We were ecstatic to host approximately 250 community members at our inaugural gathering of 2025!

 

Mother Nature blessed us with gorgeous weather as Peter Cottontail, Flopsy & Mopsy bounded into Rolling Hills, bringing the cherished tale of Peter Rabbit to life across the expansive lawn of the stunning Occhipinti estate on Crest Road. Since Rolling Hills lacks a community venue, the Women's Club relies on residents' generosity, specifically Annie and Dena Occhipinti, who have opened their home for our annual Spring Party Egg Hunt for five decades! Tremendous appreciation goes to our dedicated Egg Hunt Coordinators, Brittany Gardner and Kristen Kahl-Reno, who orchestrated every aspect of this enchanting celebration over several months. Special recognition to Dr. Peter Parsa, who skillfully documented these magical moments throughout the day!

 

The egg hunt commenced at 1:30 PM, delivering pure joy as the youngest participants gleefully shook their discovered eggs while dancing across the lawn in search of treasures, while the 9-year-olds dashed at breathtaking speeds. Despite distributing an impressive 2,400 eggs across all age categories, the colorful bounty vanished in mere moments!

 

Heartfelt gratitude to all the remarkable WCCRH members and their families who contributed refreshments and volunteered their time for this joyous occasion. The collaborative spirit was evident as numerous helpers lightened the workload. The spectacular array of culinary delights—all generously donated by our members—impressed everyone. 

 

This year's entertainment featured the talented Christopher T Magician (the first time at our event), whose captivating blend of magic, puppetry, and humor enthralled spectators of all ages. Children also delighted in a bubble station and a temporary tattoo table. We were particularly thrilled to welcome Dahlia’s Ideal Pets, who brought an adorable menagerie of bunnies, ducks with their ducklings, and guinea pigs for an enchanting petting zoo—a wildly popular new addition.

 

We extend our sincere appreciation to the dedicated young volunteers who contributed service hours (including participants from both PV Assembly and residents' children/grandchildren)! Thanks to Arty Beckler, Jr. and his team for transporting and retrieving tables, chairs, and equipment. Special recognition goes to Piper & Perrin Darrell and Logan Thomas for their crucial contributions to the Egg Hunt's success!

 

For the third consecutive year, our 50/50 raffle proved tremendously successful, with proceeds split between the Women's Club and the fortunate winner. Karen Willis claimed the prize and donated her winnings back to the Women's Club! We deeply appreciate Karen's extraordinary generosity, which will fund future community festivities.

 

Building on last year's environmental initiatives, we incorporated several sustainable practices: utilizing eco-conscious paper products, providing water dispensers instead of disposable bottles (with guests encouraged to bring reusable containers), and inviting participants to return plastic eggs for future use. We eagerly anticipate meeting newcomers and welcoming you to our Women's Club. Our mission centers on cultivating community connections by championing activities and programs that enhance our neighborhood while beautifying our cherished city.
