Women's Tea

We GuaranTEA a Good Time – The WCCRH annual Fall TEA Party

On Sunday, September 24th the ladies of Rolling Hills tossed aside their riding outfits and tennis/pickleball togs and adorned in their couture dresses, sassy hats and fascinators,  arrived at the Women`s Community Club of Rolling Hills annual Fall Tea Party.

The ladies were chauffeured by Brent the Butler (one of the aliases of Brent Howell) to the Tea House and Gardens (aka the lovely residence of Stacy and John Markulis) which provided an ideal indoor-outdoor setting on a balmy autumn afternoon. Background music added to the ambiance and festivity of the occasion.

All attendees enjoyed delicious hors d' oeuvres which included canapes, tea sandwiches, fruits, and macarons with the WCCRH imprint and numerous decadent desserts provided by the members of the women`s club.  At the bars, Apertifs, Kir Royal and Mimosa were served. Of course, classic and gourmet teas were poured and served from elegant teapots.

An opportunity to acquire distinctive teapots, tea sets, and other items donated by several women`s club members was made available and sold by silent auction with proceeds going toward the women`s club budget. The raffle of the 20-piece Bunny Rabbit Garden Tea Set was won by Madeline, the seven-year-old lucky granddaughter of Tannia Dilfer!

Thanks to the two chairpersons of the tea committee the very capable and industrious ladies Karen Willis WCCRH president and Debby McDonald for planning and organizing this signature event.  Thanks to all the many club members for donations, for preparing and supplying all the food and drinks and for assisting in various capacities. Thanks to Stacy for opening up her beautiful home for the tea party.

Most importantly the lady attendees had the opportunity not only to visit with old friends but also to meet other ladies who live in our community and make new friends. There was such an abundance of food provided so the excess was placed in containers and delivered to shut-ins in our city who could not attend and also to firefighters at fire station 56.

WCCRH is open to all the ladies of Rolling Hills and all are invited to join and participate in the monthly meetings and signature community events and activities.
