Rolling Hills has a way of attracting people who appreciate its peaceful beauty, neighborly spirit, and slower pace of life. For Hollie and Jorge Jeffery, making their home here has been both a personal and professional blessing.

Hollie, the creative force behind Sea to Me Blankets, co-founded the luxury blanket company with her best friend Tara. Their faux fur blankets, lovingly sewn in downtown Los Angeles, can be found on her website (seatomeblankets.com), at Nordstrom, Williams-Sonoma, Fred Segal, and even Terranea Resort. Jorge brings a different kind of expertise to the table - he owns a business consulting firm with Schooley Mitchell, North America’s largest cost optimization network. His specialty is uncovering hidden profits and helping organizations, including non-profits, save money without sacrificing quality. His services are risk-free and self-funded through realized savings.

 

Hollie grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado, before spending seven years in New York City and eventually relocating to Los Angeles 25 years ago. She’s called Rolling Hills home for the past nine years. Last year, she and Jorge tied the knot. Jorge, originally from nearby South Gate, had lived in Hermosa Beach for over 20 years before trading in the high-energy beach lifestyle for Rolling Hills’ tranquility. Together, they’ve found a perfect balance - peaceful surroundings, a supportive community, and a home base they truly love.

Their blended family includes Hollie’s two sons, Tyler and Troy McBride. Tyler is a senior at the University of Chicago studying Computer Science, while Troy is a sophomore at Carnegie Mellon University, majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Both boys are passionate about sports, having played football, lacrosse, and basketball at Peninsula High. Tyler went on to play football for UChicago, and when they’re back home, you’ll often find them both enjoying beach volleyball with friends and family. Beyond athletics, the brothers co-founded a non-profit that provides computers to disadvantaged youth - a reflection of their shared love for technology and service.

Rounding out the family is Bailey, their nine-year-old white lab. Bailey is a bundle of joy who loves walks, hikes, pool time, and generally just being part of whatever the family is doing. True to her playful spirit, she has yet to embrace her retriever instincts, but she makes up for it with plenty of personality.

The Jefferys place a strong emphasis on giving back. Jorge is active with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, where he recently joined the Small Business Accelerator task force, and he also participates in the local BNI chapter. Together, Hollie and Jorge support a local non-profit that focuses on college access for disadvantaged youth, where Jorge has mentored students and served on the board. Through Sea to Me Blankets, Hollie has donated hundreds of blankets to patients undergoing cancer treatment and families affected by the California wildfires, among others. The couple also supports animal charities and continually looks for new ways to help others.

For fun, the Jefferys keep it simple and community-focused. Sushi Saturdays are a weekly tradition, usually after a day of beach volleyball with friends. They also love traveling, local hikes, exploring Los Angeles, and hosting family gatherings. Sundays often bring together Jorge’s extended family for meals, card games, and plenty of laughter. Holidays are celebrated with both sides of the family, making for lively, love-filled occasions.

Whether they’re giving back, gathering family, or enjoying a game at the beach, the Jefferys embody what makes Rolling Hills such a special place - a family deeply rooted in community, generosity, and joy.
