Summer Family Ride

Caballeros was very busy in the month of August enjoying our beautiful equestrian community.

Back on August 3rd we had our Summer Family ride and it was a blast! We first rode up to Hix Ring where we enjoyed the beautiful views of DTLA and let our horses and ourselves have a much-needed beverage break. Then we rode on to the fire station where we enjoyed another break while looking at the beautiful views out to Catalina Island. We finished our ride at Caballeros Ring where we enjoyed a relaxing picnic with lunch provided by Kelly's Corner.

The day was truly spectacular, and the best part was getting to know our neighbors and making new friends as we rode along together. We are grateful to Sean Cardenas and Greg Willis who coordinated the ride along with the very much appreciated help of their families who made sure we had cold beverages at each stop and lunch delivered to us.

Please make sure to check our website at www.rhcaballeros.com to find out when our fall family ride is happening. Remember, no horse, no problem. You can rent one!

Caballeros has also been very busy making sure our arenas are in great condition for our homeowners. Nancy Hoffman, along with the help of our RHCA, spearheaded repairs needed at the Hix Ring. So far, we were able to power wash the picnic tables, repair the drinking fountain and reposition some large boulders into a more ideal location. We added some buckets for horses, water hoses and rakes.

The Hix BBQ was a great success with almost 150 RH residents attending! Fun was had by all with excellent food, the fantastic Tony Suraci Band with McKayla Phillips, and the very entertaining Cow Chip Bingo. Many residents showed some great dance moves…

We are continuing to make improvements to our website to make information more accessible to our community and increase participation.

We hope to see you all out on the trails, whether horseback riders or hikers, enjoying our open spaces!
