Center Stage: Madeleine Doherty’s Passion for Acting and Singing Shines Bright

Some people are scared of the spotlight. Others were made to shine. Madeline Doherty (daughter of Katie and Matt Doherty) is one such individual, delighting audiences with her talent.

A seventh grader at St. Isidore, Madeleine has been hooked on acting and singing ever since her school kicked off its very first theater program in second grade. And from that moment on, there was no looking back.

"It really started when my school began its theater program," says Madeleine. With a natural flair for performing, she didn’t need much convincing — the stage called to her, and she answered.

While no one initially encouraged her to dive into the arts, Madeleine credits a very special director for helping her sharpen her skills and grow into the rising star she is today. "I didn’t have anyone who really encouraged me to start. But I have a director who has had a huge impact on the development of my skills and has helped me grow in talent and as a person," she shares.

Whether she's singing, acting, or soaking up every moment of rehearsals, Madeleine thrives on the magic of the theater community. "What I enjoy most about theater is the people you meet because you spend so much time with them and they support you at all times," she says. The friendships forged under the bright lights are as memorable as the roles she brings to life!
Speaking of roles — landing lead parts has been a major highlight. "My proudest moments have been getting lead roles and getting into the shows in general is such a great experience," Madeleine beams.

For anyone chasing a dream onstage, Madeleine offers wise words straight from her heart: "Even if you don’t get the part, keep going and growing because it makes you so strong and supportive."

With her passion, perseverance, and a voice that’s ready to soar, Madeleine Doherty is shining brighter than ever — and the best is yet to come!
