Meet 16-year-old Rithika, Ruby Hill’s Taekwondo Prodigy!

At merely 7 years old, Rithika was forced into Taekwondo due to her friend needing a companion for
practices. Much to her surprise, she quickly found a great joy within the sport. Being able to express
herself, finding a supportive community, and having a channel to expel her overabundance of energy, she truly fell in love with Taekwondo.

Tireless practices late at night, grueling workouts, and still, Rithika loved her sport. Year after year, she leveled her way through the rankings of skill, and after years of perseverance, Rithika improved
tremendously–reaching from a mere white belt, all the way to a second-degree black belt!

Her extreme dedication for Taekwondo paid off in the end, as her efforts were showcased in the multitude of competitions she participated in which she won
countless awards.

Another aspect of Rithika’s passion for Taekwondo is currently seen in her role as a teaching assistant in her studio. She guides young learners through the same process she once went through at a young age, becoming a role model for them to reach their full potential.

While Rithika’s Taekwondo journey began as a favor for her friend, she never could have imagined what an impact the sport would make on her life.
