Spring arrived in Sedgefield with elegance and intention as the Sedgefield Woman’s Club hosted its annual spring fundraiser on March 20th—the very first day of the season—at Sedgefield Country Club.

With a theme of “Runway in Bloom,” the event unfolded as a refined celebration of fashion, community, and philanthropy. The ballroom was thoughtfully styled with delicate, fashion-inspired details, while guests embraced the season wearing florals and soft spring hues.

The morning’s centerpiece was a fashion show featuring club members as models, including Melissa Klenke, Linda Pritchett, Brandy Gillenwater, Kristi Slomski, Lyssa Colt, Sherry Mitchell, Cortni Miller, Robin Crosier, Lisa Albertson, Christy Kelly, Patti Morgan, Kathy Saunders, and Blair Kopf. The models showcased a curated selection of clothing and accessories provided by local boutiques participating in the event. From chic daytime ensembles to sophisticated statement pieces, the runway offered inspiration for every spring occasion while creating a seamless connection to the boutique displays.

Event chair Jude Fiorello also served as emcee, guiding the fashion show.  Beyond the runway, guests explored the boutiques’ displays, enjoying a personalized shopping experience that complemented the festive atmosphere. Participating boutiques included Simply Meg’s, Feathered Nest, Pebble & Pear, Fleet Plummer, The Cottage, Blue Hydrangea, Seay Partner, and Jewelry Appraisers of NC. A lively raffle added moments of excitement, as winners were celebrated by the room, reflecting the shared joy of the Sedgefield community.

At its heart, the event served a greater purpose. Proceeds from the fundraiser support local schools, shelters, food banks, backpack programs, healing gardens, women’s shelters, and many other organizations in need—an enduring mission of the Sedgefield Woman’s Club.

Graciously led by Jude Fiorello and a dedicated team of volunteers, Runway in Bloom was a seamless blend of style and service—a perfect celebration of spring in full bloom.
