Sedgefield Members Embark on a Legendary Golf Adventure at St Andrews

Residents Relived Golf’s Rich Heritage with a Nine-Day, Nine-Round Journey Through Scotland’s Most Iconic Courses

St Andrews is hallowed ground in the world of golf, famously known as the birthplace of the sport in the 15th century. It's a dream destination for golf enthusiasts, having hosted legends like Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, and Jordan Spieth during The Open Championship. What many may not know is that this revered course is open to the public, offering golfers the unique opportunity to play where history has been made.

For these Sedgefield members, this trip to St Andrews was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. While it was a first for some, Kirk Sparks, Greg Parlier, and Dupont Kirven had the privilege of returning to this golfing mecca. Over nine days, the group played an impressive nine rounds of golf, tackling renowned courses such as Prestwick, Turnberry, Western Gales, Dun Donald, Dumbarnie, The Old Course, The New Course, and Kingsbarns.

Kirk Sparks, who meticulously arranged the entire trip, ensured that every detail was perfect, making this adventure one that the group will cherish forever.
