Season’s greetings, Sedgefield friends and neighbors! 

I’m Lara Heberle, and I’m thrilled to join Stroll Sedgefield as your new publisher. With the holidays upon us, I wish you and your loved ones peace, joy, and all the warmth of the season. I’m excited to get to know each of you in the coming year and to celebrate the wonderful stories that make the Sedgefield community so special. 

After 25 years in the denim industry with Wrangler and Lee, I’m returning to a true passion of mine: storytelling. My love for publishing began back in high school, where I founded our school newspaper and also wrote articles, took photos, and designed layouts for the school yearbook. I’ve always been drawn to photography and the art of creating stories that connect us all. 

My husband, Doug, and I have shared 30 wonderful years of marriage. Though he’s from Pittsburgh and I grew up in Dayton, Ohio, we first crossed paths in Warsaw, Poland, where we fell in love. From there, we moved to North Carolina so Doug could pursue his law degree at UNC Chapel Hill. 

Shortly after settling in Greensboro, I completed my MBA with a concentration in Finance, which led to leadership roles in Credit and Accounts Receivable at VF and Kontoor Brands. Doug has enjoyed an 18-year career with Koury Corporation, and together, we’ve built a life we love here in North Carolina. 

We have two amazing children who were both born and raised in Greensboro. Our son, Aidan, graduated from UNCW with a degree in Creative Writing and now combines his love of games with writing strategy articles for GTO Wizard. Our daughter, Regan, recently graduated from Bird College in London with a degree in Musical Theatre and is pursuing her dream of performing professionally in the UK.  

Outside of work, you’ll likely find me on the tennis courts, enjoying the theater, or attending community events. I also love visiting family in London and Paris whenever I get the chance.
