Building Businesses, Restoring Lives: The Story of Trinity Restoration, RRC, and the Ells Family
For more than 25 years, restoration expert, entrepreneur, and Seville neighbor, Travis Ells has been helping families and business owners rebuild after unexpected disasters. What began as a career in the restoration industry has grown into a family of businesses rooted in service, expertise, and community impact.
At the center of this work are two flagship companies:
Trinity Restoration LLC (DBA Servpro)
Operating under the trusted Servpro name, Trinity Restoration specializes in insurance loss restoration; from fire and flood damage to mold remediation and biohazard cleanup. Beyond structural repair, the company is known for managing content restoration, ensuring that a client’s home or business is restored to its fullest possible condition. With a focus on both precision and compassion, Trinity has built a reputation for stepping in during people’s hardest moments and delivering hope alongside solutions.
Restore Right Consulting (RRC)
Disasters don’t just bring damage, they bring insurance complexities. That’s where RRC, Restore Right Consulting, steps in. Acting as a liaison between homeowners, business owners, and insurance providers, RRC ensures that policyholders maximize their coverage and get fully restored to their pre-loss condition. With decades of industry knowledge, the team guides clients through every step of the claims process, eliminating confusion and advocating for fair, complete restoration.
Together, these companies represent a seamless approach: rebuilding property while also protecting clients’ rights under their policies.
Expansion and Entrepreneurial Growth
Though headquartered in Washington, the Ells family expanded their businesses to Arizona more than three years ago. That move has not only opened doors for local restoration services but has also fueled broader entrepreneurial ventures.
Ells has invested in hard money lending, property development, and commercial and multifamily real estate projects. These ventures reflect the same principles that drive his restoration businesses: vision, risk management, and a commitment to building value for the future.
Family at the Core
Behind the business success is a strong personal foundation. Travis and his wife, Megan, relocated to sunny Seville about two and a half years ago with their two children, Tate (5) and Oakley (8).
Megan, a former nurse, now enjoys pursuing photography and other creative passions, while also embracing what she considers the most rewarding role of all: being a mother. Tate and Oakley attend Riggs Elementary School, where they thrive both academically and athletically. Tate enjoys golf, baseball, soccer, and football, while Oakley shares her dad’s drive on the soccer field and love for golf.
Family time is a priority. Whether it’s on the golf course, at a game, or off on a new adventure, the Ells family shares a bond that keeps them grounded and motivated. “At the end of the day, everything I build in business is for my family,” says Ells.
Making neighbors aware of mold risks
In Arizona, mold prevention is all about controlling your home’s environment, airflow, humidity, and ventilation. Even though we live in a dry desert climate, Arizona homes are actually more prone to mold than many people realize. Why? Because modern homes are built so tightly and over-insulated that they don’t naturally “breathe.” Without proper ventilation, air becomes stagnant, humidity gets trapped, and moisture settles into corners, closets, bathrooms, and behind walls. Your air conditioner becomes your best defense because it constantly circulates and dehumidifies the air, preventing the still, trapped environment mold needs to grow. Understanding this is the foundation of keeping your home healthy.
The first step is to control moisture at the source, especially in bathrooms. Every bathroom fan should be on a timer, and the fan should run at least 10 extra minutes after showering to remove steam and humidity that would otherwise settle into drywall, cabinets, and grout. Next, never allow your home—or any room in it—to become stagnant. Rooms with no airflow are at the highest risk for mold. “Burping” your home is a simple but powerful habit: open windows and doors to let the house naturally vent for at least an hour, a couple of times a month. This releases hidden humidity and refreshes the air exchange your sealed home doesn’t do on its own.
Mold survives off three essentials:
- Moisture – water, humidity, condensation
- Environment – dark, stagnant, hidden spaces
- Material – anything absorbent like drywall, carpet, insulation, or wood
If you eliminate even one of these, mold cannot thrive. Moisture control, air movement, and ventilation are your weapons. Above all, stay aware. Mold hides in places you don’t regularly see—inside closets, behind furniture pushed against walls, under sinks, and inside air chases. Do your research, stay proactive, and treat your home as a system that needs airflow and attention. In Arizona, prevention is everything.
Looking Ahead
With a thriving restoration network, a consulting firm dedicated to advocacy, and a growing portfolio of investments, the Ells family continues to make their mark in both Washington and Arizona. But at the heart of it all remains a simple truth: success is measured not just in businesses built, but in lives restored and family moments cherished.
“Business may be what we do, but family is who we are.”
