Our business is family owned, passed down from our father Edwin Macdonald, who started in the valley in 1970! We are proud to say, that in a day and age when many private practices are selling to business corporations, we plan to stay a private practice. We take pride and look forward to the day when our sons will join us. We want to continue to keep good quality orthodontics alive in our community!

We serve all who are interested in having straight aligned smile! We have patients as young as 7 and as old as 80!

The most often asked question is what age to start orthodontics. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial evaluation for children at about age seven. That age is often when they’ll have a mix of some baby teeth and some adult teeth, which helps us diagnose potential issues to work on.

This is a rule of thumb. But if you notice any major issues developing earlier or later than that, you can call us and bring your child to Macdonald Orthodontics at any age.

Dr. Robert Macdonald -I love practicing orthodontics because there is such variety every day. I get to treat children and adults with a wide range of malocclusions, challenging me to find solutions for a wide variety of issues. I value each of my patients! Besides the enjoyment I find in achieving excellent smiles for my patients, I love spending time with my wife, Ericka, our four handsome sons,  and our beautiful daughter. I enjoy spending my remaining free time in the great outdoors, wakeboarding, snowboarding, mountain biking, and golfing. I am also active in my community and church.

Dr. Keith Macdonald - Being an orthodontist has been one of the great blessings in my life. It is a profession that gives me the opportunity to change people’s quality of life by improving their appearance and overall self-confidence. When out of the office I love to spend time with my wife, Lori, and our four boys. I enjoy traveling, surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, golfing, scuba diving, biking, and running. As Pickle ball has become popular I have learned to play pickle ball and enjoy it it as a pastime.

I've been in the orthodontic world since I was 19 years old-48 years!  I've seen lots of changes and advancements during that time, all for the betterment of the patients experience. Being in this fun environment has kept me smiling, and given me the opportunity to help others smile, too! My husband and I work out together and love the sun and water. We love camping at the Colorado River with our Sheep doodle, Louie. I have loved orthodontics but my family and Grandkids are my true "career".

I love to travel with my husband. My favorite vacation spot is anywhere with white sand and blue water. My favorite past time is spending time with my three pups at home. I am most looking forward to our next adventure this summer that includes: Morocco, Croatia and Spain.

I have been in orthodontics for 25 years. I started  chairside assisting the doctors with patients and now I run the front desk. I can answer any orthodontic question! I love working with Dr. Keith and Dr. Rob Macdonald. I spend my free time with my eight grandchildren and my dog Athina.

I was born and raised in the Central Valley of California and moved to Arizona in 1995. I love to travel with my family to any beach location especially the Caribbean.  I have a hobby farm with animals which include horses, mini donkeys, pigs goats and chickens. I have worked in the dental field for 41 years and i love orthodontics because it is very rewarding to see our patients grow up and "glow up" right before our eyes.

I am a native Arizonian but have lived all over the US. I love working with people and watching them (and their teeth) change over the course of their treatment.  I have been doing orthodontics for 24 years- 6 of them the lead clinic assistant a Mac Ortho! When not working I enjoy doing Macramé and digging in the dirt for gold and gem stones.

I've been an assistant for 29 years and love watching patients' smiles transform. I am a god mom to 3 little dogs. In my off time, I love going camping with my husband and our fur-babies, who are awesome travelers.  In the summer we camp up north and when it's cool you'll find us at the dunes, zipping around in our CanAm that can get us just bout anywhere we want to go.  I am a pretty active person and when I'm not working or exploring, I'll be doing hot yoga.

I have been working in the ortho field for 7 years now. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors and traveling.

Marisol "Sol" - Clinical Assistant Gilbert Office

I've been in ortho for 16 years & I love it. I'm the mommy to 3 humans and grandma of 2 beautiful doggies who I spoil with treats.  I enjoy cross-stitching, camping and fishing. Mostly I love cooking, the way to the heart is through the stomach.

I've been in the ortho field for eight years, since i graduated from High school. I'm a mom to two little guys which is where most of my free time is spent with them. I enjoy going to the park, gym dates and being a foodie trying new restaurants (mostly pizza), around the valley.

I have been born and raised in Arizona, I love to be outdoors, especially fishing. I play women's flag football. The best part of this job is seeing how confident patients are after they're finished with their treatment.

I've been With Macdonald Orthodontics for 7 year and absolutely love everything about my job and the people I work with. Outside of work I enjoy traveling ANYWHERE and also love anything having to do with animals. I have a husband two kids as well as two dog-kids, so life i pretty busy I wouldn't change a thing.

I have been in the dental field for a long time, the last 15 here at Macdonald Ortho. I am a mother of two daughters and I have 5 grandchildren. My husband and I have two fur babies. I love to craft, camp and kayak

I've been an Orthodontic Assistant for 10 years, most of them at Macdonald Ortho.  When I'm not at work you can find me hiking in the mountains, hanging out near the pool, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy snowboarding &  paddleboarding

I am an Arizona native. I've' been in Orthodontics for 34 years, i have been married to my husband Steve for 35! Together we have two beautiful daughters and one granddaughter that is the light of our life!

I have been in the ortho field for 33 years. I love to be by the beach or any water. I love hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking, motorcycle riding. I love to watch basketball and football "go Suns! - Go Cards!"  I also love gardening. I have two adult kids and 4 grandkids.  I used to work for a craniofacial/cleft palate surgeon and I have a special place in my heart for that type of care.
