Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? Tell us about your family

I grew up in various parts of the valley but have been in Queen Creek for over 20 years. I raised my daughter and my stepdaughter here. My daughter has 2 children that she is raising in Queen Creek as well.

Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now…

I started working for my dad at his body shop when I was young. Since then, my brother and I have taken over and continue to run the shop.

What is your business, how/why did you start your business?

I also own Skippy’s Grille & Cantina. We are a small local restaurant and bar. We serve a mix of Mexican and American favorites. My wife and I used to be regulars and loved the place. We had always talked about having a restaurant because we love to cook and entertain people. When the opportunity to purchase it came up, we decided to do it.

What is unique about your business?

We have the best staff and customers. It’s truly a place where everyone knows your name. The food is delicious and almost all of it is made in house from scratch. We serve the best breakfast in town. If you’re looking for a great meal come here or if you want to hang out with great people come here.

Given your business expertise and the nature of what you do, what advice can you offer to the residents?

The best advice I can give is to take time to get out and enjoy life. You can’t be serious all the time.
