After more than five years in the neighborhood, this family has found one of life’s simplest joys in hitting the trails with their three beloved dogs—each with a personality all their own: Lulu, Jet, and Ruby.

At 16 years old, Lulu the Maltipoo is the undeniable queen of the pack. She joined the family when her owner was just 8 years old, and it was love at first sight. Formerly named Roxy (now her “middle name”), Lulu is equal parts sassy and selective—she chooses her favorites carefully and is known to hold a grudge if crossed. These days, she enjoys peaceful trail walks, solo time at the dog park, and long naps in her favorite hidden spots. A standout family memory? Celebrating her sweet 16 with a three-tier watermelon cake.

Jet, a 10-month-old Doberman mix, brings nonstop energy. This lovable “Velcro dog” picked his owner by clinging to their arm as a puppy—and hasn’t let go since. Known for his goofy smile, face kisses, and ability to leap into your arms, Jet is always ready to play. He even knows commands in German and loves making friends at the dog park (and quickly destroying his toys).

Ruby, a 6-month-old Cavapoo, rounds out the trio with charm and curiosity. Named for her red coat, she joined the family after a memorable 7-hour road trip filled with howls and pit stops. Ruby is playful and smart, known for her bunny-like hops and signature nose “boops.” She loves walks, meeting neighbors, and the occasional outing to BrewHound.

Together, this trio brings laughter, energy, and heart to everyday life in Shearwater.
