Twice the Applause: A Baby's Arrival and a Filmmaker's Big Moment
The Curran Family
We’re proud to share that Bennett Curran’s film, California is Burning, earned Best Student Film at the Oceanside International Film Festival this past February. A senior pursuing his B.A. in Film & Television online, Bennett created the film to spotlight the devastation caused by the Eaton Fire in Southern California. With support from his Medici Scholarship, he expanded the project to include a new segment on the Pasadena Humane Society Animal Evacuation Center, along with an original musical score composed by Summer Davis.
Bennett is the son of David and Tina Curran of DC Ranch. Be sure to check out the Phoenix Film Festival scheduled to take place April 9 - 19 for screening details, and look for our feature on Bennett in the May issue of Stroll.
