From Passion to Platters: The Story of Authentically Amber Charcuterie and More

Food has always been my love language. There’s something magical about gathering around a beautifully arranged platter, sharing bites, and making memories. That love for food led me to teaching charcuterie classes at MacKenzie-Childs, a transformative experience that turned my passion into a business. With a nudge from my sister, Crystal, Authentically Amber Charcuterie and More was born—offering artfully crafted boards, grazing tables, and hands-on classes that bring people together.
Elevating Entertaining
At Authentically Amber, I create charcuterie experiences that go beyond the ordinary. Whether it’s an intimate wine night, a large celebration, or a corporate team-building event, my boards and workshops turn any gathering into something special. Guests can even opt for an added touch of elegance with MacKenzie-Childs dishware upon request!
A Personal Touch
Running this business as a solo entrepreneur has been both challenging and deeply rewarding. Every board and class reflect my passion, creativity, and commitment to making entertaining effortless and enjoyable. As demand grows, I look forward to expanding and sharing the art of charcuterie with even more people.
A Background in Hospitality
Before launching Authentically Amber, I spent over 20 years in the hospitality industry, primarily with Holiday Inn hotels, where I developed a deep appreciation for guest experiences and event planning. My business is the perfect blend of my hospitality background and my love for artistic food presentation.
Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs
The key to any successful venture—whether business or personal—is connection. Relationships are at the heart of everything I do, and I encourage others to embrace creativity, take risks, and pursue what excites them. It’s not just about the end result but about enjoying the process and the people you meet along the way.
Home & Heart
Originally from New York, I spent part of my childhood in Hawaii, living a free-spirited, off-the-grid lifestyle with my father before returning to New York as a teenager. Today, I live in the countryside of Owasco, NY, where my spouse and I are renovating a 200-year-old farmhouse—a true labor of love.
