Experience the Magic of Fall Fest in Skaneateles

Skaneateles is celebrating the season with a full weekend of festive activities during this year’s Skaneateles Fall Festival, taking place Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25. With family-friendly activities, shopping, food, music, costumes, local vendors, and plenty of fall fun, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
The festivities begin on Saturday, October 24, with the annual Costume Parade through the Village at 10:00 a.m., led by Play2Learn. Children and families are encouraged to dress in their favorite costumes and join the parade through downtown Skaneateles.
Later that afternoon, visitors can enjoy a Sip, Shop & Stroll from 2:00–5:00 p.m. throughout the Village. Spend the afternoon exploring local shops, enjoying seasonal offerings, and experiencing all that downtown Skaneateles has to offer. A complete list of participating merchants will be available on the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce website.
The fun continues at the Skaneateles Community Center, where a Fall Festival Craft & Vendor Fair will take place from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Guests can browse a variety of local crafters and vendors while enjoying live music by Tom Barnes, food trucks, children’s activities, and more. The Community Center will also host a Costume Glow Skate, adding another festive activity to the day. Visit the Chamber website for the complete schedule, activity details, and times.
Fall Festival continues on Sunday, October 25, beginning with a Pet Costume Contest at 11:00 a.m. on the Skaneateles Library lawn. Bring your costumed four-legged friends and join in the fun as some of the community’s cutest contestants show off their fall and Halloween looks.
At 12:00 p.m., head back to the Skaneateles Community Center for a Pumpkin Pie Tasting Competition. Five local judges will have the delicious task of tasting some of the best pumpkin pies Skaneateles has to offer and selecting this year’s winner. Pie samples will also be available to the public while supplies last on a first-come, first-served basis.
Whether you come for the costumes, shopping, local artisans, music, food, skating, pets, or pumpkin pie, the Skaneateles Fall Festival is a wonderful way to celebrate autumn with family, friends, and neighbors.
We hope you’ll join us for a fun-filled weekend in Skaneateles! Be sure to visit the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce website for the complete Fall Festival schedule, participating businesses, and event details.
