The Rizzi Family Ferrets
Every morning in their house begins the same way—two little fur missiles launching themselves onto the bed as it’s being made. Their ferrets insist on helping, bouncing, and wrestling through the sheets like it’s their personal playground. Bed-making has become less of a chore and more of a daily event—one part gymnastics, one part comedy show.
They are endlessly curious, fun, and surprisingly affectionate. They come when they’re called (most of the time), and occasionally bless their humans with little nose kisses—when they’re not too busy plotting their next adventure. Like crows, they have a fascination with shiny things. Put down a ring, a watch, or an earring, and it’s gone for at least two hours while someone searches for wherever they’ve decided to “store” it.
Ice cream is their ultimate delicacy—a rare treat that earns instant adoration. But nothing rivals their favorite game: hide and seek. They play it with their humans, each other, and even the Chinese Crested, who has made it his morning mission to chase and be chased in a joyful blur of fur (and skin) and laughter.
Of course, when dinner plans roll around, and it’s time to get them back into their cage, they become expert escape artists—suddenly impossible to find, as if they’ve melted into the walls. But once they’re finally snuggled up together, no one can stay mad. They’re partners in crime, best friends, and constant reminders that life is better (and funnier) when shared with a pair of mischievous ferrets.
