❤️ Valentine’s Day Strawberry Shortcake Cups

A simple, elegant dessert that feels special without being complicated. These individual cups are perfect for sharing with family, neighbors, or a cozy Valentine’s night at home.


Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
For the strawberries
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the shortcake
  • 2 cups store-bought pound cake or angel food cake, cubed
For the whipped cream
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Valentine touches
  • Dark chocolate shavings
  • Heart-shaped sprinkles
  • Fresh mint leaves
Instructions
  1. Macerate the strawberries
    In a bowl, gently toss the sliced strawberries with sugar and vanilla. Let sit for 15–20 minutes until juicy.
  2. Whip the cream
    Using a hand mixer or whisk, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form. Chill until ready to assemble.
  3. Assemble the cups
    In clear glasses or jars, layer:
    • Cake cubes
    • Juicy strawberries
    • Whipped cream
    • Repeat layers until the glass is full.

  4. Finish with flair
    Top with chocolate shavings, sprinkles, or a mint leaf for a Valentine’s touch.
  5. Serve immediately or chill
    Best enjoyed fresh, but can be refrigerated for up to 2 hours.
