Simply Rosie
No matter who is walking her, Rosie the dog loves her morning, afternoon, and evening strolls with her family members, and her family loves them too. It’s definitely not uncommon to see Rosie on her daily walks or playing with her best friend, Dixie Hill (German Shorthaired Pointer).
If she’s not patrolling the sidewalks for squirrels or playing in the backyard, the six-year-old red Goldendoodle is most likely curled up with her family (Danny, Jennifer, Hampton [8th grade], and Tucker [6th grade]) or chowing down on her favorite foods: yummy steak, delicious peanut butter, or tasty bagels (but don’t forget some delectable cream cheese on top!)
Rosie’s origin story is one of the best there is: On Christmas Eve 2019, the Balons came home to find a sweet, tiny puppy under their Christmas tree. They welcomed her into their family and she became an important part of it quickly. The Balon family has many fond memories with and about Rosie, but one of their favorites is that when the kids were growing up, Rosie would sleep right above their heads on their pillows. Another thing Rosie used to do was climb up on top of the dishwasher and “help out” with cleaning the dishes (lick them until they were clean as a new car).
Lots of parents probably have memories about their young kids’ hundredth day of school shirts, whether it’s fond memories or something like rushing out to the store the night before to buy stuff to make it. Like them, Danny and Jennifer Balon about it too. However, all their hard work was wasted when their usually sweet and loving dog ate ALL the marshmallows off of Tucker’s shirt! She ended up not really getting a huge stomach ache, which implies she must have a super-strong stomach of steel.
Another thing worth mentioning about Rosie: Her strange fear of pool noodles. Growing up, she spent many hours out on the pool deck with her family, and they think she got the fear from when the noodles got slapped on the concrete, making a sound that’s pretty loud and scary for most dogs.
Rosie the dog has many amazing (and sometimes a little weird) traits that make her all the more lovable. If you ever see her walking the Spaulding Farms trails or playing with her family, feel free to stop by and give her a pet; she loves new people and will most likely befriend you!
