A Little About Preston
PRESTON'S FAVORITES at AGE 10:
Book: Some of my favorite books are Nate the Great, books in the I Survived series, Cat Ninja and nonfiction books about sports. My mom is a teacher so she brings home a lot of books from school. I like to read about football and soccer.
Movie: My favorite movie is the new Mufasa movie. I like it because it gives a different perspective about why Scar is the way that he is. Last year my family and I went to New York City and saw The Lion King on Broadway. It was really good and realistic. My favorite character was Rafiki because he was really funny.
Board Game: My favorite board game is Yahtzee because it is fun. I like to play with my grandma and my mom. I love when my dog Lady sits beside my chair while we are playing. When I roll a Yahtzee I cheer because that gives me so many points.
Sport: My favorite sports are football and soccer. I like football because I like playing tight end. Soccer is fun because I am on a team with my friends and we practice a lot together.
Day of the Year: My favorite day of the year is my birthday. I like my birthday because we do a lot of cool things. On my last birthday we celebrated by going to Dave and Busters and Santoras with my friends. We got to have a party at EPIC Sports Center with all of my friends. It was so much fun.
Meal: My favorite meal is chicken noodle soup. I like it just the way it is with a side of cantaloupe. My mom makes the best chicken noodle.
Ice Cream Flavor: My favorite flavor of ice cream is bubble gum because I love the little pieces of gum inside of the ice cream. Bubble gum is my favorite. I love going to Dawn's Candy Shack and getting the baseball Big League Chew.
What is the best thing that has happened to you recently?
The best thing that has happened to me is I got to go to Disney with just my mom and I. We went to Magic Kingdom together and rode on all the rides. Some of my favorites were Space Mountain, Tiana's Bayou Adventure and Tron. She let me do Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train twice in one day! My favorite part of our trip was meeting a new friend at the hotel pool. He was from Kansas City but his favorite football team was the Buffalo Bills because he liked Josh Allen!
What would you do if you had a million dollars?
If I had a million dollars I would save it in the bank. When I get older I would use it for a house and a car. I would also give some of my money to people who are sick or don't have any money. I would use some of my money to get 3 dogs for myself and 1 dog for my mom. The dogs I would get are a doberman named Boss, a rottweiler named Tank, a golden retriever named Hank and a corgi for my mom. She would name her Goldie.
Do you have any favorite school subjects?
My favorite thing about school is seeing my friends and math. I like to learn about intersecting and parallel lines. I am really good at angles in math. A right angle is 90 degrees. Something I want to work on at school is reading. I want to become a better reader and read harder books. My Great Grandma always told me, "the most important thing is reading and math." When she went to heaven she gave me more money to save for college. She said that, "when you conquer reading, writing and arithmetic, you can do it all." She passed away from cancer in December and I miss her a lot.
What can't you live without?
I can't live without my family. They take care of me and snuggle me. I love my dad because he plays football with me and he cares about me. I love my mom because she is nice to me and she snuggles with me. I love my brother Charlie because he plays Madden with me. I love my dog Lady because she always protects me when she sleeps in my room and she jumps up and snuggles me in my bed.
