What influenced you to choose to be a doctor? The marriage of science and service was the impetus for my desire to become a physician.
What made you choose your specialty? Anesthesiology is a fascinating field involving the interplay of physiology and pharmacology and the role of diseases affecting both of those areas. Critical care, hands on patient care, medical management of the surgical patient, and procedural based practices all led to my decision to become an anesthesiologist.
Advice for aspiring doctors: Perseverance is the key to success.
Fun fact: Dr. Flatt likes to get outdoors when possible. He enjoys mountain biking, disc golf, boating with friends.
