From routine checkups to emergency surgery, SAHO offers comprehensive veterinary care including medicine, surgery, dentistry, boarding, grooming, and more. The 86th Street location, SAHO Owasso Animal Hospital, now offers 24-hour emergency services, giving local families immediate access to trusted care when it matters most — without the long drive to Tulsa.

SAHO Owasso West Animal Hospital & Pet Resort, opened in 2025, expands boarding and daycare services and offers a smaller, more personal veterinary setting led by Dr. Brad Walsh. This reflects SAHO’s commitment to giving clients a choice: the advanced capabilities of the large medical center at SAHO Owasso Animal Hospital, or the comfort of a smaller, more familiar hospital at SAHO Owasso West or Skiatook.

SAHO serves dogs, cats, and most exotic pets (excluding primates) and is known for investing in advanced technology and modern medical services: preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, ultrasound, radiography, endoscopy, diagnostics, surgery, artificial insemination, and laser therapy.

Meet the Veterinary Team

At the heart of SAHO is a team of 20 highly experienced veterinarians, many of whom are current and past Stone Canyon neighbors, proudly serving their local community.

Dr. Chris Kelley, a graduate of Oklahoma State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, co-founded SAHO Owasso in 2006. He now focuses primarily on surgery and mentoring newer members of the veterinary team. Dr. Kelley has served on the Owasso City Council and as Chair of the Owasso Chamber of Commerce, and has been honored with numerous awards including Tulsa World’s Veterinarian of the Year and the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association’s Companion Animal Practitioner of the Year. He lives in Stone Canyon with his wife and their three children.

Dr. Greg Strathe earned his DVM from Kansas State University and joined SAHO as a partner in 2013. He is known for building strong relationships with clients and offering a calm, reassuring presence to both pets and their people. Dr. Strathe also resides in Stone Canyon with his wife and their five children. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys golfing and outdoor time with his family and dogs.

Dr. Sara Hendricks, another Oklahoma State graduate, brings over two decades of experience and a deep sense of compassion to her work. Known affectionately as “The Cat Doc” for her expertise in feline medicine, Dr. Hendricks also cares for canine patients with equal dedication and love — she’s as passionate about dogs as she is about cats. Her professional interests include internal medicine, emergency care, and preventative wellness. Dr. Hendricks’ approach centers on partnering with pet owners to create thoughtful, individualized care plans. She shares her home with her family and a crew of beloved pets.

Dr. Bryan Spriggs, a co-founder of SAHO Animal Hospitals alongside Dr. Kelley in 2006, has been a driving force behind SAHO’s growth and success. In 2022, he transitioned full-time to lead the team at SAHO Skiatook, where he focuses on serving the needs of that growing practice and community. Prior to establishing his farm, Dr. Spriggs lived in Stone Canyon and remains deeply connected to both the Owasso and Skiatook communities. He and his wife, Stacy, share a passion for animal welfare. Together, they live on an 80-acre farm between Owasso and Skiatook, where Stacy operates a non-profit senior pet sanctuary dedicated to providing love and care for aging animals in need. A longtime supporter of the area, Dr. Spriggs remains actively involved in the Owasso Economic Development Authority (OEDA) and is committed to helping families provide the very best care for their pets.
