Holi at The Meadows

Colors of Joy, Community and Beautiful New Beginnings

Spring was in the air, and so was color, laughter, and pure happiness, because Holi has come to The Meadows once again!

On March 28th, 2026, our beloved community gathered for our cherished yearly tradition, and what a celebration it was! Holi, the ancient and joyous Hindu festival, marks the glorious victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and love over hatred. More beautifully, it celebrates the arrival of spring, nature's own reminder that after every cold, quiet winter comes a season bursting with color, warmth, new beginnings, and the promise of a beautiful life ahead. Holi whispers to us: let go of the old, embrace the new, forgive, love, and celebrate being alive together.

Our festivities began the warmest way possible, with open arms, warm greetings, and the joy of seeing familiar and new faces come together. We enjoyed incredibly delicious Indian-inspired savory street food that had everyone going back for seconds! And of course, no Holi is complete without the legendary Thandai, that divine, creamy milk lovingly infused with mixed nuts, warming spices, saffron, and fragrant rose petals. Every sip felt like a celebration in itself!

Our guests arrived dressed in crisp, beautiful white, a tradition full of meaning. White represents purity, a fresh start, and an open heart. It is the perfect canvas for the day ahead, because as the colors fly and the joy unfolds, every outfit tells its own story. Come wearing white, and leave wearing the most colorful memories of your life.

Before the colors flew, we gathered for the sacred and deeply meaningful Holika Dahan. Circling the fire together, offering water and dhani (the delightful little jowar popcorn), we honored an age-old ritual that signifies burning away negativity, ego, and all that no longer serves us. The fire is not just flame; it is transformation, protection, and a collective prayer for light to lead our lives and community forward. It is a moment of stillness, gratitude, and spiritual togetherness before the joyous chaos begins!

And then, the colors came out!

With wonderful music setting the perfect mood, we took the party outside and the magic truly began. Organic colors only, of course, because we love our Earth as much as we love our celebration! Box after box disappeared into a glorious, laughing, colorful whirlwind. We honestly lost count, but who was counting anyway? Every face, young, old, and every age in between, was lit up with the most genuine, beautiful smiles. Pure happiness. Pure connection. Pure Holi.

This is what The Meadows is all about. A celebration where it truly doesn't matter where you come from, because color, joy, and community speak every language. This tradition belongs to all of us, and we are so deeply grateful to every family who showed up, played, laughed, and made memories that are now forever etched in our hearts.

The Meadows Holi is not just an event; it is our gift to the next generation. And the best part? We get to do it all over again.
