Local Leader Champions American Manufacturing

From Stoney Creek Ridge to the Factory Floor

My wife Sherry and I have lived in Stoney Creek Ridge for over 20 years. We raised our three kids here, all proud graduates of Stoney Creek High School. This neighborhood has been more than just home; it’s been the backdrop to our family’s most important memories and milestones.
Professionally, my journey began in the automotive industry. I spent my first 20 years at General Motors and later with a Tier 1 supplier, learning what it takes to build great products and lead teams in high-pressure environments. Eventually, I transitioned into a global consulting role, becoming a partner at an international firm where I spent five years helping clients around the world stand up new manufacturing plants in developing markets.
But that global exposure opened my eyes to something troubling. While I was helping other countries build their manufacturing base, our own was being outsourced. We were exporting knowledge and capability that we desperately needed here at home.
That realization drove me and my partners to found FTE Factory Advisors in 2013. We built the firm on a core belief: that manufacturing can be successful and profitable anywhere in the world, including right here in the U.S.
Today, we’re proud to be part of the reindustrialization movement that’s revitalizing American manufacturing. Our team, now a global advisory network of senior experts, helps clients launch new facilities, improve throughput, and strengthen operations from the ground up. And we’ve been growing fast as more companies realize the power of building closer to home.
But what I’m most proud of is how we’ve helped people. Many professionals who were ready to leave the corporate grind have found a new path with FTE, using the wisdom they’ve gained to coach and mentor others, right on the factory floor rebuilding American manufacturing. It’s deeply rewarding work.
At the end of the day, this isn’t just a business, it’s a mission. One that is rooted in community, in family, and in a belief that we can build things that matter, right here where we live.
