Introducing CJ Landscaping!
Meet Chris Dempster who is intently focused on delivering unparalleled customer service
Hello residents of Stoney Creek Ridge and Stoney Creek Ridge North—my name is Chris Dempster. I’m 22 years old, a graduate of Rochester Adams High School, and the proud owner of CJ’s Landscaping. Growing up in the Rochester area has shaped who I am today, and it means a lot to now serve the same neighborhoods where I got my start.
I’ve always enjoyed working outdoors. Some of my earliest memories are helping my grandparents with yard work—pulling weeds, raking leaves, and learning the value of taking pride in a job well done. That hands-on experience sparked something in me early on. When I was just 14 years old, I decided to turn that passion into a business and started CJ’s Landscaping right here in the neighborhood I grew up in. To my surprise and excitement, the business took off quickly, and it’s continued to grow ever since.
At CJ’s Landscaping, we offer a range of services to help homeowners keep their properties looking their best year-round. Our services include lawn mowing & trimming, fall cleanups, mulch installation, and snow removal. Whether it’s maintaining a healthy lawn in the summer or keeping driveways safe and clear in the winter, we’re proud to be a reliable, local option for residents.
What sets CJ’s Landscaping apart is that we’re family-owned and truly care about the quality of our work. Every yard we service is treated as if it were our own. Like any business, there are challenges along the way. Investing in good equipment and regular maintenance has minimized any breakdowns. Even with inflation in recent years, we have managed to keep our cost structure down to a very competitive level. Hard work and planning helps us navigate any challenges responsibly while continuing to deliver high-level service at fair prices.
Looking ahead, I’m especially excited for spring to arrive. There’s nothing better than helping bring yards back to life after winter and making the Stoney Creek Ridge community look beautiful again. I’m also focused on continuing to grow responsibly, investing in reliable equipment, and building long-term relationships with residents who value quality and consistency.
Tips I often share with residents: consider using a calcium chloride product or sand instead of salt during wintertime so not to damage your driveways or sidewalks. For weeds, a simple mixture of vinegar, salt, and dish soap can be effective when applied to landscaping beds.
