Marie and Steven Lorimer are a dynamic husband-and-wife duo behind the Lorimer Realtor Team, powered by Allen Tate. Together, they’ve built a thriving real estate business grounded in deep local roots, expert knowledge and an unwavering commitment to their clients. “We truly love what we do and feel incredibly blessed to help others while also prioritizing family,” says Marie. “Being able to pursue our passion while spending quality time with our kids is something we never take for granted.”

 

Charlotte isn’t just where they work – it’s home. Marie was born and raised here, graduating from South Mecklenburg High School, while Steven moved to the area in fourth grade and later graduated from East Meck. He is the son of the late Pastor Steven Lorimer. “We love showcasing our beautiful city and sharing the best of Charlotte from a local’s perspective – helping new residents feel at home from day one,” says Steven.

 

Steven has been a top-producing agent with Allen Tate for more than a decade, and Marie joined him about five years ago. Their partnership has flourished, serving the South Charlotte and Ballantyne areas as well as Fort Mill, Indian Land, Huntersville and Davidson. Recently featured by Real Producers magazine as one of Charlotte’s power couples, the Lorimers have distinguished themselves in a competitive market.

 

One major differentiator is Marie’s 15 years of experience in new construction and her degree from NC State’s Design School. “That background has been invaluable in my work, especially with staging homes and helping sellers get their properties market-ready,” she explains.

 

With over 100 people moving to the Charlotte region every day, the Lorimers are passionate about helping newcomers find their place in the Queen City. “Despite higher interest rates, we continue to see a steady influx of people moving here,” notes Steven. “We’re here to guide them through that transition and make it as smooth as possible.”

 

At home, life is just as full. Their two sons, Julius (15) and Olson (13), are both standout athletes – Julius plays high school golf and Olson, a seventh grader, made the varsity tennis team. “We’ve always encouraged our kids to give 110% to whatever they do – whether in sports, school or life,” says Steven. “Our philosophy is simple: if you’re going to do something, give it your all. And if it doesn’t bring you joy, it’s not worth doing. This mindset carries over into our business as well, and it’s what drives us to serve our clients with passion, dedication and heart.”

 

The Lorimers are active members of Ballantyne Country Club and love being part of its vibrant community. Julius and Steven can be found on the golf course every chance they get, while Olson plays tennis for the BCC Junior League. Marie enjoys playing nine holes with the Lady Lynxters and participating in fitness classes at the FAC.
