Edinburgh Volunteers at Night to Shine 2026
An unforgettable worldwide celebration event, centered on God's love, honoring and valuing people with special needs.
Jilly Pope and Walker Buice enjoyed serving as Buddies for the evening.
Gwinnett Church, in partnership with Happyfeat, hosted the 8th Annual Tim Tebow Night to Shine Prom. Night to Shine is a complimentary event for people with special needs hosted by local churches around the world. The event is open to anyone age 14 and older who lives with a disability. On February 13, 2026, there were Night to Shine events in 50 states and 63 countries, in over 800 churches, with nearly 190,000 volunteers serving over 107,000 honored guests.
Night to Shine honored guests, who are referred to as Kings and Queens, were paired with vetted volunteer buddies who escorted them throughout the night. Parents were invited to stay on-site to enjoy the experience, and volunteers served food, helped with parking, and greeted attendees. There was a red carpet with paparazzi, photo booths, karaoke, a dance floor, limo rides, and a make-and-take candy table for Kings and Queens to enjoy.
We are so proud of the many Edinburgh residents who volunteered at the 8th annual event. Jan Marie and Patrick Wolf served in the Quiet Room for guests who needed a break from the excitement. Elizabeth Curtwright escorted guests from Annandale Village, an assisted living facility in Suwanee. Kim Glass volunteered on the security team. Jilly Pope, Devon and Nolan Brock, and Ewan Glass served as buddies of the Kings and Queens. A memorable night was had by all!
Night to Shine is an annual event, and volunteer applications begin in early January. Our hope is to see many more of our Edinburgh high school students and parents volunteering at future Night to Shine events!
