Kelly Jordan of Jordan Carpentry and Siding

Building Strong Homes, Restoring Lives, and Investing in Men Who Are Ready for a Second Chance

There are some conversations that stay with you long after they end. My recent one with Kelly Jordan of Jordan Carpentry & Siding was exactly that.
From the moment we started talking, it was clear that Kelly isn’t just building decks, fences, or siding. He’s building something much deeper.

“I’m a Gwinnett County native,” Kelly shared with me, “and construction has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.” But when he relaunched his business in 2024, he made a very intentional decision. Rather than being a jack-of-all-trades, Kelly wanted to truly master his craft.

“I saw a gap in the industry,” he explained. “Too many homeowners are left with poor quality workmanship. I wanted to rise up to that and provide high-quality craftsmanship at a fair price.”

Today, Jordan Carpentry & Siding specializes in composite decks and railings, full siding replacement and repairs, and fencing. But what really sets Kelly and his team apart isn’t just their attention to detail. It’s the heart behind it all.

As we talked, Kelly shared something deeply personal. “I’m in long-term recovery from a lifelong battle with alcoholism and drug addiction,” he said. “And part of my recovery is helping others.”
That mission has become a cornerstone of his business.

“I work with men who have faced similar struggles,” Kelly told me. “A lot of times, they’re not given opportunities. So I give them a chance. I believe in them when others maybe don’t, and I invest in them so they can become better men. Men who can show up for their families and be productive members of our community.”

You can hear it in his voice. This isn’t just a business model. It’s a calling.

That calling is perhaps best understood through the lives it’s already impacting.

Daniel Lake, who met Kelly during a difficult season in both of their lives, shared, “We were each struggling with addiction and the challenges that come with it. Even then, Jordan stood out to me in a way I have not forgotten.”

Daniel went on to explain how that connection became life-changing. “He was the first person to bring faith into my life in a real way. At a time when I felt lost, it gave me hope and something to hold onto. It started to change how I saw myself and my future.”
As their friendship grew, so did the opportunity.

“Jordan gave me a chance to work alongside him and took the time to teach me carpentry,” Daniel said. “It became more than just a trade. It’s a skill I can carry with me for the rest of my life. I’ve learned to take pride in honest work and to be a better man. He helped me begin rebuilding not just my skills, but my life.”

Today, both men are in recovery, and Daniel speaks with deep respect. “Jordan is one of the best men I know. He is a man of integrity, consistency, and genuine compassion. I’ve personally witnessed the impact he has on other men, offering guidance and support as they work toward becoming better, more productive individuals.”

And that impact continues to ripple outward.
Kelly and his team regularly volunteer through their local church, always looking for ways to go the extra mile for their clients and their neighbors.

Looking ahead, Kelly is excited about what’s next. He’s currently hopeful for approval on a large-scale project in Sandy Springs that would involve rebuilding between 80 and 200 decks and railings in a townhome community.

“It’s a big opportunity,” he said, “and we’re ready for it.”

But even with growth on the horizon, Kelly’s focus remains the same.

“We’re just trying to become better men,” he said simply.

And in doing that, Kelly Jordan is not only strengthening homes across our community. He’s helping rebuild lives.
