Hello there, Sugar Mill Pond friends! I’m Sadie, a 9-year-old chocolate Lab with a knack for sniffing out fun (and treats). I joined my family when I was 2 years old, initially as a hunting dog for my human brother, Mason, but it didn’t take long for me to prove that my real talents lie elsewhere—mainly in being absolutely adorable and stealing hearts.

Let me tell you, I’ve got a nose like no other. If there’s dumped grease nearby, I’m off like a rocket before you can say, “Stay, Sadie!” My sense of smell is truly something special, and it’s one of the ways I keep my family on their toes. I also have a real talent for finding the treat stash when we visit friends’ houses. I know exactly where to go and make a beeline for it every time.

But my favorite spot in the whole world? The front porch. There’s nothing like lounging in the sunshine, soaking up the warmth, and watching the world go by. It’s my happy place, and I could sit there for hours, dreaming of my next adventure—or snack.

Speaking of snacks, I have a signature move when it’s treat time. My sweet eyes and little dance are impossible to resist, and I always make sure to show my appreciation with a happy tail wag. My humans say it’s one of their favorite things about me.
