Southern Belle Blooms

A Youngsville gem where every arrangement is made with heart.

Some people fall into their calling slowly. Others seem to be guided there. When you hear Stephenie Franks’ story, it feels very much like the latter.

Stephenie is the owner and creative force behind Southern Belle Blooms, and if there is one thing that becomes clear the moment you talk to her, it is that flowers are not just her business. They are her way of spreading joy. Her arrangements are thoughtful, personal, and full of intention, created to celebrate life’s big moments and the quiet, meaningful ones in between.

Originally from New Iberia, Stephenie has made Lafayette home for more than two decades, living in the same house for 23 years. She is a proud mom to her son, Emery, who is 17 and plays baseball for LHS. When she is not creating florals, you will likely find her spending time with family and friends or playing with her dog, Prada, a pittie with a big personality.

Before Southern Belle Blooms came to life, Stephenie wore many hats. She worked in banking, human resources in the oilfield, and eventually found herself at Rouses after an oilfield layoff. It was there, in the floral department, that everything clicked. She worked her way up to floral manager and spent a year and a half honing her skills before deciding to take a leap of faith and step out on her own.

Creativity runs deep in her family. Stephenie’s dad was an artist, and she credits that influence for the creative instinct she has always had. Self-taught in florals, she brings both skill and heart to every arrangement she creates.

What truly sets Stephenie apart is the care she puts into her work. She takes time to ask questions, learn the story behind the flowers, and personalize each arrangement with meaningful colors and details. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is generic. Every piece is created with intention because she believes flowers should feel personal.

Stephenie also loves reminding people that flowers do not have to be reserved for major milestones. They do not have to be expensive, either. Whether it is celebrating a birthday, marking a special moment, or simply brightening someone’s day, she works with each customer’s budget to create something beautiful and meaningful.

At the heart of Southern Belle Blooms is a simple belief: flowers are a way to show love. They help people feel remembered, celebrated, and cared for. And judging by the joy Stephenie sees on her customers’ faces, that belief shows up in every arrangement she creates.

If you are looking for florals that feel personal, thoughtful, and made with genuine care, Southern Belle Blooms is a name worth remembering.
