Gypsy on Patrol
Sweet, spoiled, and always on alert, this energetic AussiePoo fills the Williamson home with cuddles, chaos, and nonstop love.
Hi. My name is Gypsy. I am a two-year-old AussiePoo, born on January 25, which is a very important date because it is also my mom’s parents’ anniversary. I like to think that means I arrived with purpose, good timing, and a little extra magic.
I came into this family as a Mother’s Day surprise, which honestly feels correct because I am a gift. My mom, Connie, had been without a dog for a few years after losing her beloved Yorkies, Ditsy and Daisy. I’ve heard all about them. Apparently, I am the perfect mix of both, which is a lot of pressure, but I handle it well. When my mom first saw me, she fell in love instantly. I do that to people.
My name is Gypsy because my mom moved around a lot when she was younger, and her family was always called Gypsies. They stayed close through all that moving, and now I help keep everyone close too. Plus, being named after my mom’s parents’ anniversary feels very special. I take that responsibility seriously. Mostly by being adorable.
I am sweet, precious, loving, and also extremely alert. I like to let everyone know when someone walks by. Or drives by. Or breathes nearby. We are working on my barking. I am improving. Please be patient, neighbors. I am simply protecting my kingdom.
I have a LOT of energy, especially when my grandkid friends come over. They bring toys, and I take them. Then I run. This turns into a game called “chase Gypsy,” which I win every time. My best friends are Goldie and Honey, who come over almost every day. Add in our friend Churro, and suddenly the yard becomes a full-blown chaos zone. We dig, chase each other through flower beds, argue over dog chews, and fight over balls like professionals. It is exhausting. And amazing.
I am very loving and cuddly when I am not causing trouble. I constantly bring my mom or dad stuffies or balls because playing is very important work. I also love belly rubs. Love them. If you stop rubbing my belly, I will remind you.
One of my favorite hobbies is chasing lizards. I am very good at catching them. What I do not know is what to do after that. So I just kind of freeze. It’s confusing.
I am extremely spoiled, as I should be. Every day, my mom makes me scrambled eggs to put on my food. Without eggs, I refuse to eat. At night, I hate going to bed, so my mom usually has to chase me down, pick me up, and tuck me in with my three favorite stuffies. I also like to cuddle on the very top of the couch cushion above everyone’s heads. It’s my perch.
I love water. Sprinklers. Kiddie pools. The bathtub. If you are in water, I am also in water. That is the rule.
Most of all, I keep this house full of love, laughter, and constant movement. I’m great company for my dad when my mom is away, and I make sure no one is ever lonely. I am Gypsy. Protector. Cuddler. Chaos coordinator. And the best gift this family ever received.
