Mardi Gras Masterpieces

The Sugar Mill Pond Neighborhood Night Out on February 12th was a celebration to remember! Hosted in the warm and welcoming home of Kenny Hebert and Garland Romero, the evening was filled with laughter and creativity. Neighbors gathered to embrace the Mardi Gras spirit, turning an ordinary Wednesday into a night of festive fun.
One of the highlights of the evening was a hands-on bow-making class led by White Bayou Wreaths and Supply, one of our valued Stroll Sugar Mill Pond preferred partners. Specializing in high-quality wreaths, bows, and home décor, White Bayou brings a creative touch to every season. Guests had the opportunity to learn the art of bow-making, crafting their own beautiful, Mardi Gras-inspired pieces to take home. The workshop was fun and interactive, giving neighbors a chance to add a personal touch to their Mardi gras decor.
As neighbors worked on their festive bows, they also enjoyed a spread of delicious appetizers and King Cakes provided by NuNus Market, a local favorite known for its dedication to fresh, high-quality ingredients and Cajun hospitality. Founded in 1968, NuNus has been a staple in the Acadiana community, offering everything from specialty meats to gourmet catering.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who attended and helped make this event so memorable. These neighborhood gatherings are more than just social events—they’re an opportunity to strengthen connections, support local businesses, and create lasting memories. We look forward to many more nights of fun, laughter, and community in Sugar Mill Pond!
