Top Value Transmissions: Shifting Gears on Trust and Transparency
Owner Amy Musclow brings compassion, confidence, and craftsmanship to every repair—now with convenient on-site diagnostics right in your driveway.
When you walk into Top Value Transmissions in Niagara Falls, you’re not just stepping into an auto shop—you’re entering a space built on integrity and empowerment. Owner Amy Musclow, a former nurse turned entrepreneur, is on a mission to redefine the repair experience and bring confidence back to car owners.
As the only woman-owned transmission shop in New York State, Top Value handles everything from routine maintenance and diagnostics to major repairs like engines and transmissions, on vehicles from 1925 through today. Amy built the business to fix more than cars—she’s fixing the trust gap. “Too often I heard stories of women, young adults, and seniors being taken advantage of. I wanted to give people back their confidence.”
A huge part of that experience comes from her head mechanic, Jeremy, who brings years of specialized transmission expertise to the shop. His deep experience, combined with the strong friendship and trust he and Amy have built over the years, creates a uniquely cohesive team environment—one that customers immediately feel when they walk through the door.
New this year: Top Value will come to you. For neighbors in our area, Amy’s team offers on-site diagnostic checks—they’ll meet you in your driveway, at home, or wherever is convenient—to assess issues, explain findings, and map out next steps before you commit to shop work. It’s transparency and convenience, up front.
Every vehicle that enters the garage still receives a complimentary preventative maintenance inspection with photos and clear recommendations. “We treat every vehicle as if our children were behind the wheel,” Amy says.
A former nurse, Amy pairs compassion with precision. She holds degrees in Psychology and Business, trained hands-on in automotive repair, and chose ownership to run a shop differently. Her partnership with Jeremy—built on mutual respect, shared values, and a long-standing working relationship—helps set the tone for the entire shop. Together, they’ve cultivated a place where customers feel safe, informed, and genuinely cared for.
Outside the bay doors, she and her husband, Anthony (a stay-at-home dad and proud Bills fan), are raising Lillian (6)—a budding shop helper and gymnast—and Mylo (2), who learned to say “zoom” and “turbo” before “hi.” Family time often includes WNY festivals like the Lewiston Peach and Fairy Festival. A creative at heart, Amy enjoys beading, crochet, and painting—and even designed the shop’s logo.
Amy is developing a Car Safety & Maintenance Class open to anyone who wants practical, hands-on skills: what to keep in your car, how to change a tire, jump a battery, check fluids and tire pressure, and more. Her advice is simple: ask questions, never choose price over quality, and remember small shops go the extra mile. “Here I’m able to live the dream I built—and show other girls they can do whatever they put their minds to.”
