From Family to Full Service Care: Meet Advanced Sewer and Drain Cleaning

A family-run business bringing trusted plumbing, proactive maintenance, and personalized service to homes across WNY

For Tony and Jackie Luckoski, plumbing isn’t just a business; it is a legacy, a livelihood, and a way to serve the community they call home.
Advanced Sewer and Drain Cleaning has been part of WNY since 1955, when it was first established in Kenmore. Tony’s father purchased the company in 1987, and years later, Tony followed in his footsteps, learning the trade, working alongside him, and eventually stepping into ownership himself.
That transition came sooner than expected.
After his father’s passing at the start of COVID, Tony went from working in the field to running the entire company almost overnight. With determination and the support of local professionals, he navigated licensing, operations, and everything in between, building not just continuity but growth.
Today, the company has evolved into a full-service plumbing operation, now also operating as Advanced Plumbing and Repair of WNY, serving Kenmore, Tonawanda, Amherst, Cheektowaga, Lancaster, Williamsville, and beyond.
While drain cleaning remains their foundation, their services now extend far beyond it. From faucet repairs and water heaters to appliance hookups and full plumbing updates, their focus is simple: to provide solutions that make everyday life easier.
“We’re not here to sell you something you don’t need,” Tony shared. “We want you to have the right solution for your home.”
That philosophy shows up in the details.
Whether it is installing a more accessible fixture for a homeowner with mobility challenges or ensuring every installation is precise, clean, and built to last, Tony approaches each job with care and a long-term mindset.
It is also what sets their business apart.
With a tight-knit team, dedicated office support, and Jackie managing operations behind the scenes, Advanced Sewer and Drain Cleaning runs like a well-oiled machine while still maintaining a personal, relationship-driven approach.
“When you call, someone answers,” Jackie shared. “And we truly try to be there when people need us.”
In many cases, that means same-day or next-day service, especially for drain-related issues.
But perhaps the most important message they want homeowners to understand is this: maintenance matters.
Modern plumbing systems, especially low-flow fixtures, do not always move waste as effectively as people think. Add in everyday habits, tree roots, or buildup over time, and small issues can quickly turn into major, costly problems.
“A simple cleaning now can save you from digging up your yard later,” Tony explained.
And that is exactly what they aim to prevent.
In fact, about 35 to 40 percent of their business comes from homeowners being proactive, calling before there is ever a problem simply to avoid one.
Because when things do fail, it is rarely at a convenient time.
“It’s always during a party, a holiday, or when family is in town,” Tony said with a laugh. “You don’t want your Super Bowl to turn into a pooper bowl.”
That mix of honesty, humor, and real-world experience is part of what makes their approach so relatable and so effective.
Unlike many companies, their goal is not to upsell excavation work.
“We don’t want to dig,” Tony shared. “We want to help you maintain your system so you don’t have to.”
And if digging is unavoidable, they will guide homeowners toward trusted partners but only after doing everything they can to prevent it in the first place.
It is a mindset rooted in integrity, long-term thinking, and genuine care for the people they serve.
Now, they are bringing that same philosophy to their newest offering Allini whole home water filtration systems, designed specifically for WNYwater. These systems improve water quality throughout the home, removing contaminants and creating a cleaner, healthier experience for families.
Outside of the business, family life is at the center of everything they do. With four kids at home, there is always something going on. Their daughters are involved in competitive dance, while their oldest and youngest have taken on the challenge of Ninja Warrior training to build strength, balance, and confidence. Their oldest also has a strong creative side, spending time drawing, painting, and even building projects by hand.
Tony brings that same passion and drive into one of his more unique hobbies, sports car racing. Competing with the National Auto Sport Association, he races a 1991 Acura Integra and recently placed second in the regional championship with multiple wins throughout the season. Jackie, on the other hand, enjoys quieter creative outlets like reading, scrapbooking, and cross-stitch, often bringing those along to race weekends while the kids play and cheer Tony on.
For Tony and Jackie, though, the business will always come back to something simple: helping people.
Between a full house that includes four kids, pets, and a constant flow of activities, they understand firsthand what it means to manage a busy home and care for the people in it.
And that perspective shows up in every call, every visit, and every relationship they build along the way.
Because at the end of the day, it is not just about fixing a problem.
It is about making life easier, more comfortable, and a little less stressful for the families they serve.
