If you've attended a beautifully styled party complete with custom desserts, balloon displays, and a white bounce house, there's a good chance Summerfield Farms resident Vasilisa "Vasi" Mironova had a hand in creating it.

Vasi is the owner of two local businesses: Sugarfied by Vasi, a custom dessert company, and Let's Bounce Buffalo, an event styling and entertainment business specializing in luxury-style party experiences.

While marketing is her day job, Vasi wears many hats in her businesses. She's the baker, designer, planner, decorator, and creative force behind every event she creates.

Vasi's love of baking began long before she started her business.

"When I was 15, I wanted to recreate my favorite honey cake from a bakery I loved," she recalls. "I was practicing artistic swimming 12 hours a day, six days a week while preparing for National Team Trials, but I still spent my Saturday nights working on that recipe."

It took five weekends to perfect. She still has the original recipe written in her native language.

That determination continued throughout the years as she taught herself increasingly challenging baking techniques. One of her proudest accomplishments was mastering macarons, a process that took nearly eight months of practice and refinement.

Since then, she has created everything from cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops to fruit tarts, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and specialty desserts.

"What motivated me to turn it into a business was seeing how much joy these desserts brought to people," she says. "Whether it's a child's birthday party, a wedding dessert table, or a family celebration, being part of those happy moments is incredibly rewarding."

Sugarfied by Vasi specializes in custom-designed desserts including cakes, cupcakes, macarons, cake pops, sugar cookies, and specialty sweets tailored to each event.

Let's Bounce Buffalo focuses on creating memorable celebrations through all-white bounce house rentals, custom wooden backdrops, balloon garlands, floral arrangements, and party styling.

"Our goal is to create beautiful, memorable setups that make celebrations feel extra special," says Vasi.

The businesses officially launched in 2022. While she temporarily stepped away from baking due to pregnancy-related medical complications in 2023 and welcomed another baby in 2025, she resumed taking dessert orders in March 2026. Meanwhile, Let's Bounce Buffalo is now entering its fifth season.

For Vasi, it's all about personalization and attention to detail.

"I truly care about creating experiences, not just products," she explains. "Whether it's hand-designed sugar cookies or a full party setup with balloons and bounce houses, I focus on making everything cohesive, creative, and visually beautiful."

Let's Bounce Buffalo was also the first company in Buffalo to offer all-white bounce houses, which quickly became popular for modern events and upscale celebrations.

Many of the company's backdrops and decor pieces are custom-made, giving clients a truly unique experience.

With Sugarfied by Vasi, quality is equally important.

"I'm very particular about recipes, techniques, and ingredients because I want desserts to taste just as good as they look."

Vasi's entrepreneurial journey continued after the birth of her daughter.

After experimenting with balloons for her daughter's first birthday party, she became determined to improve her decorating skills. Then, while planning her second birthday, she searched for a white bounce house and discovered there weren't any available locally.

That realization sparked the idea for Let's Bounce Buffalo.

As the business grew, so did requests for her desserts. Before long, Sugarfied by Vasi developed into a business of its own.

"To me, happiness is contagious and energizing," she says. "There's something really special about being part of people's celebrations and seeing kids genuinely excited and joyful."

Advice for Residents

Vasi encourages residents to carefully research vendors before booking for special events.

"Always vet your vendors carefully," she advises.

She recommends asking to see examples of a vendor's actual work rather than inspiration photos found online. For balloon installations, she notes that professional-grade balloons offer significantly better quality and durability than lower-cost alternatives.

For bounce house rentals, she stresses the importance of verifying that a company carries insurance and follows proper safety and installation procedures.

Vasi and her husband, Robert, have lived on Hickory Lane for two years with their children Anastasia (6), Alex (2), Aurora (almost 1), and their golden retriever, Millie.

"What I love most is how kind and welcoming everyone is," she says. "Not just our immediate neighbors, but throughout the entire neighborhood. It truly feels like a supportive community."

With three young children and two growing businesses, life stays busy, but Vasi wouldn't have it any other way.

"A lot of my inspiration actually comes from my children and the joy they bring to everyday life."
