The George Theater is a hidden gem nestled near Tanglewood, in mid-town. Visiting this theater for the first time was a pleasant surprise for our family of four, as we gathered to take in the production of The Wizard of Oz. To our delight, the cast did a stellar job of performing this classic story, with delightful adaptations to the original script that will surely inspire belly laughs among theater goers. Not only were the musical numbers whimsical and fun, the singing and acting done by the cast was professional, with audience members ending the evening with uproarious applause.
Following the opening night, our family had the pleasure of meeting many of the actors who took part in the production, only to encounter humble and personable actors willing to take the time to chat and snap photos before we made our way home.
If you’re looking for a fun night out for the whole family, come and enjoy this family friendly, creative production of The Wizard of Oz at The George Theater, and be sure to check out the listing of upcoming productions that surely will not disappoint!
