Meet Lily Bugs: The Sweetest Shih Tzu Neighbor Spreading Love, Bows, and Puppy Smiles!

Hi neighbors! My name is Lily, and if you just read about my mom, Kathleen, then you’ve already met my favorite person! Around the house, they call me “Lily Bugs.” I’m not sure why, but they say it with so much love that I don’t mind. I’m a Shih Tzu, and I just turned 10 years old this past January. I was born on New Year’s Day in 2015, which my mom says makes me a little extra special.
I became part of the Tomlinson family when I was just a tiny puppy. My mom had been searching for a Shih Tzu and finally found a breeder on a farm in Roswell. When she saw my picture, she knew I was the one. I was delivered wrapped in a baby blanket, and from the moment I arrived, I’ve been loved beyond measure.
People describe me as calm, sweet, and a little spoiled in the best way. I’m known for my bows and polite personality. I never leave the house without my hair done. While I’m not one for flashy tricks, I have a special gift for knowing how people feel. When my grandpa was sick, I would curl up in his lap and snuggle close. My mom says those quiet moments brought him comfort, and they meant a lot to me too.
The one thing I truly fear is thunder and fireworks. They make me so anxious that I need medication to help me stay calm. I even have a prescription on file at Walgreens under the name “Lily Dog,” which always makes people smile.
When I was younger, I went through some scary health issues and even had to stay in ICU a few times. The vets never found a clear answer, but my mom stayed by my side and made sure I got the care I needed. Thanks to her, I’m happy and healthy today.
Now I spend my days surrounded by family, going on trips when we can, and living a life full of love, treats, and belly rubs. If you see a little Shih Tzu with a bow in her hair walking proudly through the neighborhood, that’s probably me. Feel free to say hello. I love meeting new friends.
