Hi there! I’m Lucas Patrick Garrison, born on September 13, 2024. Some people might think being born on Friday the 13th is unlucky, but my family believes it brings me good luck. I like to think that it makes me special!

I have a wonderful family that includes my dog brother, Barkley, and seven tortoise siblings that live outside. Barkley is my playful companion, always wagging his tail and ready for some fun. I love watching the tortoises too; they move so slowly and have their own little world. Sometimes, I try to mimic their calmness when I’m exploring. Being curious is a big part of who I am! I love discovering new things, whether it’s the way the sunlight dances on the floor or the different sounds around me.

One of the cutest things about me is that when I’m sleeping soundly, I sometimes make little barking sounds, just like Barkley. My parents think it’s hilarious and love to tell everyone about my sleepy antics. I guess I’m dreaming of playing with him, and it makes them smile.

When it’s time to settle down for the night, my favorite lullaby is “You Are My Sunshine.” The soothing melody wraps around me like a warm blanket, and I can almost feel the sun shining in my dreams. It makes me feel loved and safe, which is all I really need.

Now, let me tell you about my mom and dad! My mom, Nicole, is a super-smart dermatology resident at the University of New Mexico. She’s so busy learning about skin that sometimes I think she should teach the tortoises how to keep their shells shiny! My dad, Sean, is a manager at Deloitte Consulting, where he works on something called AI Automation. I’m not sure what that means, but I imagine it involves robots that can change diapers and make bottle warmers! They both work hard, but they always find time to play silly games with me—even if it means pretending to be dinosaurs or making funny faces.

Their love fills our home with warmth and laughter, and they always make me feel like the most important little guy in the world. They call me Love Monk, which is a nickname that always brings a giggle to my face. It reminds me of all the hugs and kisses that surround me every day.

So, that’s a little peek into my life! I may be small, but I’m growing and learning every day. I can’t wait to see what adventures the world has in store for me! Life is full of surprises, and I’m ready for all of them!
