Supporting Hope and Healing: ACH Child and Family Services
Bringing Light to Families Across Fort Worth, Texas
Nestled in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas is ACH Child and Family Services. A nonprofit organization that has been changing lives since 1907, ACH provides critical support to children, youth, and families facing crisis situations, and it continues to grow its impact through community partnerships and dedicated volunteer efforts.
ACH offers a comprehensive network of programs aimed at protecting children and preserving families. Their services include Foster Care and Adoption programs, the Youth Emergency Shelter, Safe Place locations for immediate safety, and Families Together and Real Help for Real Life programs that equip families with tools for stability and growth.
Bellas resident, Realtor Melinda Deckert, volunteers as a member of the ACH Women’s Auxiliary and has been involved with the organization since 2019. Initially introduced to ACH during their adoption journey, she and her husband Ben were immediately inspired by the breadth and depth of services provided at ACH’s Fort Worth campus and completed the adoption of their daughter through ACH in Nov. of 2022. “She is our miracle child. We are so thankful for ACH and the services they provide.” said Melinda.
Since then, their involvement has only grown, especially through participation in events and donation drives that benefit the children in ACH’s care. Throughout the year, ACH Auxiliary members and supporters help organize fundraisers and collect vital items such as school supplies, clothing, and hygiene products for children in foster care or living on campus.
Melinda has been involved in several of these drives along with her colleagues at Burt Ladner Real Estate and Bellas residents. “The most rewarding part is seeing our neighbors rally alongside us,” Melinda shared. “The Bellas are full of people with generous hearts.”
ACH remains a beacon of support and healing in Fort Worth. Its mission to protect children and preserve families resonates deeply with those who believe in building a stronger, safer community. To learn more about ACH’s programs or how to get involved, visit https://achservices.org/programs.
