Meet Lola!
Sometimes the perfect addition to a family comes with four paws and a wagging tail.
When Anna Maria Bertamini and her family visited her sister in Bullard in 2011, they fell in love with East Texas and eventually made Tyler home in 2013. They settled into the Cascades community and quickly embraced everything the neighborhood had to offer. But after getting settled, they realized there was one thing missing: a furry companion to share in their new adventures.
That missing piece arrived in the form of Lola.
Adopted from Pets Fur People at just six months old, Lola quickly became much more than a pet. She's an explorer, a playmate, and a loyal companion who fills each day with joy.
One of Lola's favorite places is right outside her front door. The scenic trails throughout the Cascades are her playground, where she's always on the lookout for squirrels, deer, and anything else that catches her attention. Every walk is an adventure, and her curiosity makes even an ordinary afternoon outdoors feel exciting.
When she's back home, Lola is always ready for a game of fetch. Tennis balls are her favorite, but she'll happily chase just about any round object she can find. And if there's a birthday to celebrate, Lola insists on joining in. One of her hidden talents is "singing" Happy Birthday, a performance that's a little off-key, full of enthusiasm, and guaranteed to make everyone laugh.
As much as she enjoys exploring, Lola's favorite place is wherever her family is. She sleeps soundly in her crate each night, but every morning begins with her favorite ritual, climbing up for cuddles before the day gets underway. Her cheerful personality and ever-present happy expression have made her the heart of the Bertamini household.
For Anna Maria, Lola is far more than a beloved pet. She's a faithful friend, a walking buddy, and a constant reminder of the joy animals bring into our lives.
As Anna Maria says, "What a joy to have in our lives."
