New Blooms, Bright Beginnings
Hello, neighbors. I’m Jessica Mitchell, and I am so happy to introduce myself as the new Publisher of Stroll The Colonies. I’m genuinely excited to be stepping into this role and becoming more connected with the people, families, and local businesses that make this neighborhood such a special place to call home.
I come from a background in education, where connection and storytelling have always been important to me. That passion carries directly into this role. The purpose of this magazine is to give local entrepreneurs a place to shine and to share the incredible stories of the families who live in this neighborhood, stories that would not be told anywhere else. That focus is what makes Stroll The Colonies so unique.
Family life keeps me busy, with year-round sports and 4-H activities filling much of our calendar. Being involved and connected to the community is something I value deeply. I also volunteer with Amarillo Angels, a nonprofit that supports the foster care community of the Texas Panhandle, a cause that is very close to my heart.
When I am not working or volunteering, I love traveling and enjoying live music. My hope is that Stroll The Colonies feels personal, welcoming, and reflective of the wonderful people who make this neighborhood such a great place to live. I look forward to getting to know you and sharing your stories in the months ahead.
Warmly,
Jessica Mitchell &
