Winston and Rolo

When we moved into our home, we felt like something was missing. It turns out it was missing dogs.

I have always loved the King Charles cavalier breed. Being British I knew that was the dog for me. We looked for a very long time in adoption centers and unfortunately, there were no Cavaliers to rescue. I found a breeder in Arizona who had a huge waiting list. They told us it would take up to two years to get a pup as she has one litter a year. Lucky for us the family who was supposed to have Winston could not. And he became a part of our family!

Winston is 3 years old. A friendly dog that loves children, adults, dogs, and basically everything in life. He behaves like a cat as he has a fascination with chasing light reflections from a watch or phone. He can do tricks that a circus dog can do which gives us a lot of entertainment.

Rolo is a Maltipoo and we got him on Halloween in 2022. Rolo's start in life like many other dogs is a sad one. We were coming back from San Diego and I took a wrong turn. We pulled into the back of a gas station so I could find my bearings again. The kids wanted to get out of the car to get something from the station. There was an old truck in front of us we heard lots of crying. As I looked into the back of the truck we saw about 10 pups that they were around 7 weeks old. The pups were in bad shape, very thin, dirty and weak.

While we were waiting for the rescue, this pup with his big eyes came up to me. I fell in love and had to take him. We called him Rolo as he would roll around the floor when Winston would knock him down. And he looked like a fluff ball. Rolo is like a baby. He loves being cuddled. He loves Winston and he loves our cat. Rolo is an escape artist, too. He's very clever and has figured out how to open the back door and turn on the TV!

These loving dogs really make our family complete. And like Winston, Rolo loves everyone and doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body.,
