Meet your 2023 Hill Section Graduates!


Dylan Black graduated from Mira Costa High School, where he was the Bay League co-MVP for the basketball team, as well as the Defensive MVP. Dylan will be attending Carnegie Mellon University in the fall and will play basketball there.
 
Tatum Huber is graduating from Marlborough School. She was inducted into the Cum Laude Society and earned the Book Award in World History. Tatum enjoyed studying French, Spanish, and Chinese, as well as Russian with the US State Department. She conducted an Honors Research project in linguistics at USC. Tatum dances at Marat Daukayev School of Ballet, where she performed as the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker and has earned many distinctions at ballet competitions. Over the summers, she trained with the Bolshoi Ballet and Vaganova Ballet academies. Tatum is excited to be attending Dartmouth College in the fall.
 
Chase Jones, a recent graduate of Loyola High School, is a dynamic athlete and dedicated student. He played club soccer for Beach FC, showcased his skills in two years of varsity soccer, and spent three years as a varsity lacrosse player. In his free time, Chase enjoys surfing with friends in Manhattan Beach and has recently developed a passion for golf. Excitingly, he will be attending Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, combining his academic pursuits with his drive for success in sports and beyond.
 
Dylan McGovern graduated from Vistamar High School. At Vistamar he was captain of the football team and a member of the math competition team. In his free time, he enjoys working out and DJ’ing. In the Fall, he will be attending the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University on a Dean’s Scholarship.

Grace Riker graduated from MCHS. She was a part of Mira Costa’s soccer program, associated student body, national honors society, and link crew. Grace received honor and the academic scholar award all four years of high school. She plans to attend George Washington University with a partial scholarship in the fall to further her educational career. 

Kayla Rotondo graduated from Marymount High School.  She was a member of the Marymount tennis team and co-captain. She grew up in Manhattan Beach and attended Robinson Elementary School and Manhattan Beach Middle School. We are so happy for her next chapter at Wake Forest University where she plans to major in business. 

Jack Tran graduated from MCHS where he was involved in the Marching Band for 4 years and served as drum major in his junior and senior years.  He has earned several academic honors and is part of the CSF and NHS. He has worked with Kid 4 Kids Enrichment Foundation, Red Cross, Amigos Unidos and Lion's Heart, earning the Gold PVSA for 2 years. Jack looks forward to attending UC Berkeley, majoring in Chemistry.

Ryan Edward White graduated from Mira Costa High School and will
 be attending Case Western University in the fall. He is a very talented
 musician and has been a member of the Mira Costa orchestra and drumline for
 four years. Ryan is also an Eagle Scout which demonstrates his excellent
 character and service to his community.

Luka Zaric graduated from MCHS. He played club water polo and was on the Costa water polo team, becoming Varsity captain his senior year. He was recognized as an outstanding athlete with the Bay League All-League Selections award. Luka served as a co-president at the South Bay Food Initiative which donated over eight thousand pounds of food throughout Southern California. This summer, he will continue his community service as an Ocean Lifeguard after successfully completing the 39th Lifeguard Academy. Luka will study finance at Kelly School of Business at Indiana University.
