15 years. I love the vibrant beachside colors, weather, and welcoming sense of community. People are always in a great mood and love taking it easy and celebrating with each other.

Who lives in your home? Please tell us a little bit about yourself and your family.
I live with my twins, Gigi and Tiger, and my dog Fluffy. They are approaching high school so we are in a whirlwind of homework, activities, and friends. We are very active and love going to the beach and downtown (both in walking distance), traveling, and playing sports.
Which room is your favorite and why? Where do you and your family spend the most time in your home?
My favorite room is the dining room. This is where we spend the most time together because it has an open floor plan into the upstairs living room, family room and kitchen. We are able to spend quality time relaxing, eating, and watching shows.
How would you describe your home's overall style or vibe?
My home has a modern feel with a cozy family twist. It is perfect for my children and I and the light hues always make it feel like summertime
Are there any unique architectural features or standout design elements you love?
I love the 2 balconies, the first in my master bedroom and the second in the living room. We can see the ocean and the serene Manhattan Beach sunsets. And I love the circular floorplan, where all the major rooms open visually to one another, while maintaining a very intimate atmosphere in each, all awash in natural light from the myriad view windows.
What are the most outstanding features of your home and/or property?
The backyard with the waterfall jacuzzi and flagstone patio as well as the 2 panoramic ocean view balconies are dynamic exterior features. The Primary suite with its spacious sitting area, fireplace, and vibrant bath is my sanctuary.
What challenges did you face during the design or decorating process, and how did you overcome them?
My home is unique in that it has two separate 2-car garages, one in front accessed from 11th Street and one in the rear off the alley. I changed the rear garage into an active space, perfect for a gym and dance studio; and changed my lower level into a play area and theater room for my children, with a secret loft area that the kids absolutely love. There was a lot of construction but with ingenuity and innovation I was able to achieve my dream design.

Tell us about any memorable events or gatherings you've hosted in your home.
I’ve hosted political parties, New Year’s Eve parties, and amazing birthday parties for my children. The open, circular floorplan on the upper living level, makes a fabulous family entertaining area with exciting panoramic views. There is always a welcoming energy and it always brings people closer together.
