Manhattan Beach Cars & Coffee
Where else can you find over 200 enthusiast cars, fresh coffee, homemade pastries, great music, and that unmistakable South Bay vibe—all before 10 AM?
Welcome to Manhattan Beach Cars & Coffee, one of the fastest-growing monthly car gatherings in Los Angeles. Held on the last Saturday of each month, it’s a place where families, collectors, and curious locals come together to celebrate California car culture in its purest, most welcoming form.
For me, this event is more than a car show—it’s the continuation of a family legacy. I’m Connor Wohl, born and raised here in Manhattan Beach, and I’ve been surrounded by all things automotive for as long as I can remember. My grandfather, Donald Wohl, was a Cleveland stockbroker in the 1970s with a deep love for Italian sports cars. He daily drove a Ferrari Daytona through sun, rain, and even snow. There’s one legendary story of him leaving it parked at the top of his street in a snowstorm because it couldn’t make it down the icy hill. His passion sparked something in my dad, who passed it down to me through father-son trips to car events like the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Laguna Seca, and Goodwood. Those early memories weren’t just about the cars—they were about the culture, the stories, and the shared joy of it all.
That’s what led my cousin Aidan Nesicolaci and me to organize our first events back in high school: the Manhattan Beach Concours d’Elegance and the Festival of Motoring. At the time, we were just a couple of car-obsessed teenagers hosting shows in the Mira Costa High School parking lot. To our surprise, we attracted 50 to 60 cars, from vintage classics to custom builds. But as rewarding as those formal, once-a-year events were, we realized that we wanted something more relaxed and more us. Inspired by the cars and hot rods sung about by The Beach Boys and the golden era of SoCal automotive culture, we decided to launch Manhattan Beach Cars & Coffee—a consistent, community-driven event that embodied everything we loved about cars, people, and good weekend energy.
The event really began to grow in 2022. That September, Sharon Brown from Stroll reached out to feature us in an article. Back then, the show was still in its early stages—maybe 50 or 60 cars, mostly local regulars and friends. Fast forward to today, and we’re now seeing 200+ vehicles each month, from Ferrari F40s and Porsche GT cars to hot rods, tuners, vintage trucks, and one-off builds you’d never expect to see outside of a museum. One of our proudest moments came just last month when a Ferrari Daytona SP3, part of the ultra-exclusive Icona series, made an appearance. There are fewer than 100 of these cars in the world, and seeing one right here in Manhattan Beach, surrounded by kids, families, and fellow enthusiasts, was surreal. It captured the heart of what this event is all about—accessibility, excitement, and community.
As president of the event, I’ve worked hard to help it grow through local collaboration, grassroots marketing, and a strong social media presence, especially on Instagram. I manage our sponsorships, car curation, and event logistics, but what really drives me is seeing the community show up—month after month—not just for the cars, but for the vibe. We’ve teamed up with local coffee roasters, bakers, photographers like Ryan Magee, and DJ Canyon Crespo to make the experience more than just a show. It’s a neighborhood ritual now, and I’m proud to help lead something that brings people together in such a positive, exciting way.
MB Cars & Coffee takes place on the last Saturday of each month from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at The Point in El Segundo (850 S Sepulveda Blvd), just on the border of Manhattan Beach. Entry is free and open to all enthusiast vehicles—whether you drive an exotic, classic, or a well-loved weekend cruiser. Spots fill up fast, so we recommend arriving closer to 7:00 AM if you want to park in the main display rows. No registration is required—just show up, bring good energy, and be part of one of the most exciting community events in the South Bay. We hope to see you there!
