Meet your 2024 Hill Section College Graduates!
Congratulations to these 8 amazing young women!
Kellie Bath graduated from University of Georgia Summa Cum Laude as a Financial Planning major, Business and Spanish minors. She was honored to be selected for the senior of the year award for the financial planning, housing and consumer economics school. She will finish her master’s in Behavioral Financial Planning at UGA and has accepted an offer as an associate at Homrich Berg Wealth Management in 2025.
Alexandra Chase completed her studies with a B.A. degree from UCLA with a Major in Communication and a Minor in Entrepreneurship in 3 years (so is technically Class of 2023), but she wanted to walk ceremonies with her friends this year. Since completing her studies, she founded a creative agency, Chase Creative Consulting, where she provides social media management, content creation, art direction and event management to companies in the fashion and beauty industries. She has also traveled the world and will be spending time this summer working as a boat host in Croatia. In the meantime, she is back home enjoying time with family. Her family is so proud of her and can't wait to see all she can achieve!
Linnae Hartzel graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and minors in Chemistry and Spanish. At USD, Linnae received the Dean’s Honors list all four years, was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society and the Sigma Delta Pi Hispanic Honor Society. She was awarded the Sports Club Leader of the Year. Linnae was an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in San Diego and will now be working as an Emergency Room Technician while she applies to medical school.
Teya Hartzel graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. Teya received the Dean’s Honors list all four years, was part of the Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society, and awarded the Global Brigades Volunteer Award. This fall, Teya will be attending the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC and plans to specialize within the field of dentistry.
Marisa McGovern graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Public Health. This Fall, she will be pursuing a Masters of Science in Nutrition, Healthspan and Longevity from the University of Southern California.
Ashley Naylor graduated from University of Notre Dame with a degree in Neuroscience. She was the goalkeeper on the Notre Dame Women’s soccer team for the past 4 years. She’s now happily back in California and will continue her soccer career using her Covid/5th year of eligibility as the goalkeeper for the UC Irvine Anteaters.
Julia Russell graduated from California State University Long Beach earning a BFA in Dance. She was in the Honors Program and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Julia is also a leader, serving as the finance officer of the Delta Gamma sorority and president of Dance Collaborative. When not in Long Beach she participated in our local community, teaching dance and instructing cycle fitness at Manhattan Beach studios. Julia intends to continue her passion for the arts post graduation working in the entertainment and fitness industries.
Kaitlyn Sciarrino graduated from Southern Methodist University in May as a triple major in Advertising, Journalism and Fashion Media, along with a minor in History. Kaitlyn will embark on her entertainment industry career at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in August, driven by her passion for reading and film photography. She has aspirations to specialize in literary adaptations and motion picture marketing.
