As a recent graduate of Northridge High School, Ana Gonzalez-Plata has spent her high school years embracing every opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with others. This fall, she will continue her academic journey at the University of South Carolina, where she plans to major in Business with a focus on marketing.

Ana is known for her energetic spirit, well-rounded personality, and ability to balance academics, athletics, and the arts. Whether she is going for a run, playing tennis with her sister and father, or enjoying a long walk with her mother, she loves staying active. At the same time, she nurtures her creative side through painting, playing the piano, singing, and performing on stage.

Coming from a bicultural family and being fluent in Spanish has helped shape Ana into an open-minded and adaptable young woman. Her experiences living and traveling in different places have strengthened her appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives. Friends describe her as supportive, encouraging, and someone who always knows how to make people laugh.

Ana's accomplishments reflect both her leadership and dedication to academic excellence. She was recently honored with the Cross-Cultural Award from the American University of Paris, recognizing her ability to build meaningful connections across cultures. She also served as Vice President of the National Spanish Honor Society, a role that highlighted her commitment to leadership and scholarship.

One of Ana's most exciting opportunities lies just ahead. Before beginning classes at the University of South Carolina, she will participate in a study abroad program in Prague, where she will study marketing and gain valuable international experience. Last summer, she spent time in Nice, France, further developing her French language skills and expanding her global perspective.

When she is not studying or participating in extracurricular activities, Ana enjoys spending time with friends and family, trying new foods, traveling, dancing to her favorite music, and creating lasting memories with the people she loves most.

Looking ahead, Ana hopes to build a career that combines creativity, business, and her passion for connecting with people from different cultures. With her drive, leadership, and global mindset, she is well positioned for a bright future.
