The Birmingham Family
We’re pleased to introduce you to the Birmingham family, a dynamic blend of passion, talent, and community spirit. Robert and Jeannine are the steady anchors of this family, which includes their children, Kristen and Porter, and their faithful Labrador retriever, Livi—affectionately dubbed “The Blonde Beast.” Many of you know why Livi has this alias, as she is a frequent escape artist!
Robert's journey began in Montgomery and led him to Huntingdon College, where he was a member of the golf team and graduated with a degree in marketing. Following his college years, he embarked on a career-long journey with Regions Bank, where his dedication has been unwavering. Today, he is the Executive Vice President overseeing the Montgomery market. Hailing from Troy, AL, Jeannine graduated from Troy University with degrees in mathematics and accounting. She started her career as a public accountant and is now the CEO of the Alabama Society of CPAs, where she has had an impressive twenty-five-year tenure.
Robert and Jeannine's commitment to the community is commendable. Robert holds several key positions, including vice-chairman of the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, endowment trustee and board member of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and board member of the Baptist Healthcare Foundation. Jeannine, a trailblazer in her own right, has recently played a pivotal role in establishing the 68th Troy University Alumni Chapter here in The Waters. She also lends her expertise to several national boards affiliated with her profession.
Beyond their careers and community work, Robert and Jeannine have found various ways to enjoy life. Robert spends his free time strumming melodies on his guitar and playing golf, while Jeanine's dedication to fitness sees her walking the neighborhood with Livi or building her strength in the gym. They are active members of St. James Church, where they both help with the music. They also enjoy working in the yard, Robert tending his vegetable garden, and Jeannine making everything pretty.
Robert and Jeannine share a deep love for live music and theatre, which they often indulge in. They enjoy performances at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and the Montgomery Performing Arts Center, and, when they find the perfect fit, anywhere on the globe to attend live concerts by renowned artists such as Lionel Ritchie, Coldplay, Pentatonix, Chris Stapleton, and more. Their diverse tastes are evident, with Jeannine lobbying for a Bruno Mars concert, while Robert leans towards Allison Kraus or Jackson Brown.
The Birminghams’ children, Kristen and Porter, have inherited their parents' drive and ambition, paving the way for a promising future. Kristen, a graduate of Auburn University and George Washington University, navigates the realm of public health as a project manager for Medical Science Affiliates. Meanwhile, Porter is a senior at Auburn University and is staying busy with an internship at B.L. Harbert Construction, highlighted by a project this summer at Tyndell Air Force Base.
Robert and Jeannine have called The Waters their home since 2015 and take pleasure in participating in various community events and traditions, such as Music on the Square, Whiskey-A-GO-GO, jam sessions in Robert’s man cave, and particularly Halloween. The Waters is simply the best neighborhood for Trick-or-Treat fun!
The Birminghams often enjoy the vibrant tapestry of life unfolding before them from their front porch on Waters View Drive, which overlooks Lake Cameron. They cherish the variety of birds, the laughter of children as they play, and the simple beauty of the neighborhood they love.
