Edith has lived in Greenville for over 25 years.  She was considering a career in fashion design when a shopping trip presented an unexpected opportunity.

“I’m a girly girl,” Edith says, “and I’ve always loved clothes. I knew I’d have a career in fashion, but I thought it would be as a designer.  I was particularly inspired by Anne Fontaine.

“Thirteen years ago, my Pilates instructor told me about a going-out-of-business sale at Scarlet Macaw in Easley.  I visited the boutique, thinking that I was just going to buy clothes, but instead, I bought the business.  That’s how I started my career in fashion.  I closed the Easley shop in 2024 and opened the shop on Orchard Park Drive the same year.”

“I was so happy when I found out Scarlet Macaw was coming to Greenville. The customer service is excellent, and the clothes are of good quality; stylish, but never faddish.  It’s one of the few boutiques where you can find casual pieces as well as special-occasion pieces. Edith and her staff are so friendly and helpful, and every time I shop there, I know that they will find pieces that go with my current wardrobe.  Sometimes I bring something from my closet to accessorize, but they also remember things I’ve bought in the past.  Even when I’m not looking for anything in particular, I like to visit just to see all their pretty things!”

“At Scarlet Macaw, we dress women on the go who desire standout style as well as comfort,” Edith says.  “I select colorful statement pieces which leave women feeling empowered, uplifted, and confident.  These timeless investment pieces are skillfully handcrafted and suited for women with impeccable taste and an eye for cutting-edge fashion.”

“When I found out that Scarlet Macaw was moving to Greenville, I was elated! In my opinion, Edith offers the best brands and the finest clothing in Greenville.  I love the way she and her staff treat me as a customer.  They are always helpful and never overbearing.”

Edith also has a second shop in Greenville.  Scarlet Macaw 2 is a past-season vault with discounts of 60 percent.  And while the prices are lower, the shopping experience is what Scarlet Macaw customers have come to expect.

“I love shopping at Scarlet Macaw 2,” Brenda continues.  “I’ve left the shop sometimes with seven new pieces.  The thing I like about the shop is that there is great variety, and the clothing is displayed so nicely; you won’t have to dig through things piled up on a table.”
