The Howard Family

Rooted in Purpose: The Howard Family’s Journey of Faith, Healing, and Community

The Howard family brings a unique blend of faith, resilience, and purpose to the community they now proudly call home. Colby and Megan, co-owners of Nebraskaland Wellness Center, are both chiropractors dedicated to helping families pursue a higher level of health. Their work focuses on chiropractic care and terrain-based wellness, with a special emphasis on supporting those facing neuropathy and chronic health challenges. For Megan, that mission extends beyond the clinic, as she also serves as an instructor, mentoring future chiropractors and helping shape the next generation of care.

Their journey to the Gretna area in 2023 was deeply personal. After nearly fifteen years in Broken Bow building a thriving practice, life took an unexpected turn when Megan was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in 2022. That season reshaped their perspective on health, environment, and time. Alongside conventional care, Megan pursued a deeper focus on supporting the body’s ability to heal. Her recovery was significant enough to be studied and published through University of Nebraska Medical Center—an outcome that ultimately influenced the direction of their clinic and deepened their commitment to helping others reclaim their health.

At the heart of everything they do are their daughters, Ava and Ella. Ava, 7, is a thoughtful and creative spirit who loves art, reading, and singing. She has a natural gift for making others feel seen and included. Ella, 3, is the family’s joyful spark—full of imagination, laughter, and a love for everything from art projects to superheroes and princesses. Together, the girls bring an energy and warmth that define the Howard home.

Family life is rooted in intentionality. Whether it’s slow holiday mornings spent cooking breakfast in pajamas or quiet moments reflecting on gratitude, the Howards prioritize time together. Their faith serves as the foundation for how they live, work, and connect with others.

Since moving to the neighborhood, the family has been deeply impacted by the kindness around them. From warm welcomes to simple, thoughtful gestures—neighbors helping with snow, bringing in trash cans, or stepping in to babysit when needed—the sense of community has been both meaningful and genuine. Their daughters quickly found comfort playing outside and building connections, reinforcing that they are exactly where they are meant to be.

For the Howards, life is about more than work or accomplishments. It’s about people, purpose, and creating a meaningful impact—both within their family and in the lives of those they serve.
